Hello, i wanna ask, is a rip software still useful if I don't have a direct printer? so far I'm doing the raster in photoshop, save it as a tiff, and printed it at the printshop :/ Thanks in advance!

Do i have to have a rip program to be able to complete this process? I split everything in separation studio and brought it back into illustrator where i linked everything up, but when it comes time to print i dont have the option of going to general

Most RIP's also provide features that let you control dot shape, resolution, and ink droplet weight for achieving best image results onto output film positives.

The image we used i thought was printed on a 230 mesh? That's super easy to find out. Take your DPI/LPI and multiply that number by 5 and round the mesh count.

How disappointing. I watched this video just to learn how to print out the separations. You were doing a great job until you rushed thru talking about linking in Ai. And Kinda mumbling. Little slower please for those who try to learn. Time wasted. Off to search another video ....
