Yes, it will separate most any .jpg you find online. Thanks for the comment!

Debating whether I should purchase Separation Studio or not. I've tried the demo, seen the videos and read the manual, but there's one thing that's not really covered... Am I still printing halftones through my printer? and if so, that would mean I'm still going to need another software to convert the eps separations into halftones, no? I'm using photoshop CS6 and it doesn't properly open the eps file, but it does separate the positives. Would I be good to go if I print those positives as is?

1- The golden yellow in the leaves was part of the contribution to the leaves being as green as they were. If he would have deleted them, which is an option, that would have altered the green and may have required further adjustments. 2- We recommend them to be in a TIFF or PNG. Prior to bringing the file into Separation Studio, you will at the very least, need to remove the background from the image and then Export it to save into the TIFF or PNG file.

Two Questions: 1 - shouldn't you have gone into the golden yellow channel and delete the leaves after you created the green channel for the leaves? 2 - Does the art work have to be in a specific format for sep studio to work? Or can you just take a random jpeg and sep it out in the steps you show in this video?

that program looks really good! but... how print the films?? is directly or we need corel or photoshop too??

What kind of files do u need to upload. Like if i use an image my freind gave me for their company, does it need to be a certain file? For the program to be able to separate it
@Ryonet Жыл бұрын
It's idea to work with the original art file so ask your friend for their Adobe Illustrator file if they have it. We no longer carry Separation Studio but you can check in with Freehand Graphics who sells that as well! There are many art files that would work but ideally you have a vector file to work with. Feel free to call our Support line for more info!

The manual says 305 & up for automatic presses and around 230 for manual printing. It does mention to test what works best for you though.

I purchased this program about two years ago. It took my Ol' Mcdonald printing (you know, spot color here, spot color there here a spot, you get it) to a higher level. I could design the print but seps were just time consuming and aggravating. I now can sep, print film and shoot a 6 color print in less than an hour. It made it so easy I sometimes sep spot color prints only on it. This allows you to add awesome detail and also use less ink. Well worth the money even if you only use it occasionally. As far as the output, it is a dcs eps spot color or rather monotone halftone screen and it does it automatically.

this is great, but how do you print out the films?what printer do you use and on what kind of paper/film?
@Ryonet7 жыл бұрын
Hey there! You would print the films out with an inkjet printer. For screen printing purposes, we recommend the Epson 1430 as a starter printer. It is compatible with the BlackMax All Black ink system that uses all black ink cartridges to print a perfectly opaque, dark film positive. You would use waterproof films to print on. You can find the printer package and films here: www.screenprinting.com/epson-1430-blackmax-ultimate-film-output-system www.screenprinting.com/search?keywords=rite%20film%20pack

there is limitation in separation studio or there might be technique to overcome this problem. will when I export from photoshop TIFF with transparent background, separation studio import it as white background image and for this when you export it to eps and you import the eps in illustrator or coreldraw you get separated layers with white background and not transparent. when i tried to delete this background i faced difficulty to do it please help me in this matter
@Ryonet10 жыл бұрын
