Intro to Building Apps for HoloLens 2 Using Unity and Mixed Reality Toolkit - BRK1003

We will demonstrate how to get started building apps for HoloLens 2 using new on-device capabilities and the power of Azure Services. We will be re-creating some of the instinctual interactions showcased at HoloLens 2 announce, and augment these with cross-device sharing using Azure Spatial Anchors.

Hololens feels like Lucy holding the football, and we're all Charlie Brown - constantly thinking "this is going to be the time, we score..." only to get it pulled out from under us...once I see something beyond just videos, I'll get interested again.

I love the technology and the advancements that are being made but with that being said. There are so many people, mostly young dying behind the wheel of a car at the hands of their cell phones and texting that I can't even imagine how many more people will lose their life due to trying to use their glasses while driving. I really wish that the car makers and technology companies would collaborate on how to auto disable these functions once a person enters a vehicle. Having been a claims agent for a well know insurance company, it was just heartbreaking to hear the crying voices of the parents who would call in to file a claim and explain that either their child passed away or caused someone to pass away due to texting. I know a lot of people would say, people should know better but at this day in age its obvious that people don't act responsibly.

I think it's more of an education problem than a developper problem. It's always a choice if you rather text while driving or not.
