I learnt more watching the first 15 minutes of this video than I have in any other Cubase tutorial. Wish everybody was to the point and concise as you Jeff! As somebody who’s been professionally using logic for my projects, moving to Cubase was just an impulse I gave into because I just wanted to see how my brain works on a different interface! I devoured your Maschine tutorials and now I’m back for your Cubase ones! Can’t believe this is available on KZbin! Thank you for doing these! 💛

Even though I have been using Cubase for a long time (self-taught) but I was merely scratching the surface. Checked several tutorials from Cubase and others but I must call out that your explanation, pace you move, and your calm voice make it spot on. Thanks for your effort and looking forward to going through all your tutorials.

Jef, it sounds like you're a Cubase tutor. The best speaker and at a realistic pace. A 'Cubase' tutorial I started with was a bit hyper, with about 75% of the talk irrelevant - saying how wonderful the plug-ins etc. are. I have ADD, visual and cognitive impairment, and have not used Cubase for most of the last 15 years [with a 20 year old Cubase SX version] The most important thing is to see where the [small grey] icons are and not be distracted by someone swirling the mouse around, or already expecting one to know where to go - with just a quick verbal cue.....So, yes. This is professional. And Free!

I decided on Cubase and I'm glad to see you made another good tutorial on this after watching your Maschine videos. Most youtubers will ramble and only give useful information in like 20% of the video but this is good quality, well structured, concise, and informative.

Hi Jef! I use Pro Tools as my DAW (and I still have a lot to learn), but when I purchased a new audio interface, a copy of Cubase 9 LE was included with the AI. When I opened Cubase for the first time, I was a bit overwhelmed with the format of the program. I thought that I would have more frustration trying to even get started - so I never used it. However, since I have a third party plugin that is supported by Pro Tools, (except for one, small key command that won't function in Pro Tools), I decided to try Cubase to see if the plugin would function in it. I still don't know if the plugin will function because as I previously stated above, I was overwhelmed with the Cubase format. Now, thanks to your very concise, and detailed video instruction, I have some hope in trying a new DAW, and hopefully, I will be able to use the third party plugin without a glitch. I'm also hoping that Cubase has a nice scoring function as well. Thanks again!!!! :-)
