Hello Shahid, thank you for your in-depth Tutorial. I am sure many appreciate it as I do as not many have made such tutorial yet. I have a quick question regarding defocus and motion blur. The challenge I have is that when I apply defocus and motion blur in 2d space and do a deep recolor it damages the smooth edges. I would really appreciate your input and if you are able to shed some light on it.

If you don't mind, could you provide a full-length, detailed tutorial? It will be helpful for beginners.

Okay, so in deep comp workflow, the 3d layers aren't actually having holdouts, we get to see the entire subject eventhough it gets overlapped with another subject!

yes every object is rendered without holdout so we can see what is behind, when we deep merge we have information of every layer what is behind pixel will look like this help when you do defocus, merging 2d element with deep you will not gonna face any issue, in the other hand if we render every object with holdout and do deep merge then there is no point of deep and we don't have information behind the object, only the visible pixels.
