I absolutely loved this book, and am a layman in terms of law and philosophy. Im looking forward to your next videos! I understood the venn diagram to be law and politics (maybe not, not law), the edge is where you need to appoint members, and make decisions as it is the political branches that mostly do this. Anyway, i thought tumultus was the best example of all law being suspended, very visual. Love your clear explanation, and the latin concepts and how you clearly define them. Thanks!

I think that the Agamben's theory of "forma-di-vita" tryes to suspend the binarian opposition of occidental thinking (law / necessity), in order to let live a vacuum in subjectivy. Somehow, in this period, in Italy, some radical position misunderstand this approach and try to reduct its to a form of negationism, for example in the interpretation of the spread of corona virus . Agamben is really deeper and more subtle than that. Greeting from Italy

Absolutely -- this theory can be applied to the Covid restrictions. The question is to what extent one is comfortable with the way governments have normalized emergency procedures. Personally I think there has been a lot of overreach, even though (as a centrist myself), I believe that governments have had to act to manage the situation. So there will be many perspectives ...
