Thank you Dr Cooper for this amazing video. You make EP look easy. Breaking it down to the very basics is something I have struggled with in training. Best thing I have done since this COVID thing is having the time to watch these great sessions. Please keep them coming. One on breaking down accessory pathways will be so much appreciated. Regards

Fascinating! I'm not an EP, just an RN with some electronics background who had an ablation. This does a lot to strip away the mystery. Thanks!

Thank you Dr Cooper for such a detailed and at the same time clear explanation. I'm a medical student and the last year I went through the clinical practice in an EP lab - that was an amazing experience so the next course I'll try to get more hours in the department to keep on learning - no doubt that your videos will help me to understand the magic of EP much better. Thank you very much!!! Greetings from Spain

Thanks so much for your kind words. It's very purposeful that I try to use non-medical jargon as much as possible (or explain technical terms clearly when I do!), and also my speaking pace and exaggerated articulation are intended to make the narration easier to understand, including for non-native English speakers (I learned that last trick from my dad :) I'm thrilled that you found the video helpful and understandable!

Great video!! A question, though. Does HV interval only represent the time taken for conduction in the His and bundle branches, or does it also include the conduction through Purkinje fibres?
@dr.joshuacooper-arrhythmia99173 жыл бұрын
Great question. The HV interval represents the time taken for conduction in the His bundle, bundle branches, AND Purkinje fibers, until the first/fastest Purkinje fiber inserts into ventricular myocardium. The HV interval starts at the His bundle electrogram and ends at the onset of the surface QRS complexes.
