Agree. As a Blender user myself I find it pretty childish to dislike good video tutorials. For someone who's interested in what am I doing here in maya channel I have an answer. I just have to know this software to find a job. Unfortunately I have no money to make my studio to use Blender in it so I have to know piepline that is used in most studios.

Those are Blender team. Maya team also does the same to Blender with any new release. It's called propaganda which is good for Maya and Blender. It pushes them to keep improving.

Thank you so much for this tutorial. Could you please make more tutorials where you explain the top bar(modeling, fx, animation, bifrost etc). There are view videos who explain as good as you do. my biggest whish: 1.how to creat a 'cartoonish' busy street. 2. how to create a forrest like mistress of evil movie( angelina jolie) thx in advance

Help, my scale tools always scale xyz in the same ratio, it mean cube can scale in rectangle. Even I reset the tool still the same. How to set all the setting in default?

Are you dragging the middle of the manipulator, or one of the axis handles? Either way, you can reset the Maya preferences to default by doing this: kzbin.info/www/bejne/fqHXppqlg8yqd7c

Sounds like your installation may be borked. I would try reinstalling the software.

I just installed maya move tool is not working... i selected vertex and tried to move it its not moving what should be done?

Is this on a basic primitive, or on a specific scene file? If the latter, it's possible the vertex you're attempting to move is locked.

anuar david diz rodriguez what’s the specific problem you’re having? Is it that the manipulators aren’t responding when you drag them? Try enlarging them with the + key and then dragging them again.

Which version of Maya are you using? Also, are you looking in the Shelf or in the Create > Polygons menu. Pipe is only in the latter.

What a joke. You guys are suppose to make Maya compete with Houdini, Cinema 4D and Blender. At this current rate, those software are already waay ahead. When will you guys realize most Maya users are artists (not engineers!) looking for fast and straightforward ways to put their creativity into place. You guys should focus on making motion graphics better and simpler, add a real time renderer, sculpting tools, video import tools for vfx, vector displacement, better fx and dynamics tool, better boolean tools, Arnold gpu, post-processing tools and for gods sake fix the bullshit hypershade. Smh, can't believe are still paying $800 to $1.5k a year for this.

Yes, the industry is upset with Autodesk. With more studios using Maya than ever before (and the number growing), why would they worry about competing though? Why would mograph people leave C4D, sculptors leave ZBrush, and why would they add a GPU renderer with all the third party standards available? Maya is an industry standard in it's corner of the 3D pie. I get what you're saying, but if it's not affecting their business why would they put the resources into the changes? They've let 3DS Max languish for well over a decade, and the game devs went to Maya. The arch-vis people are still happily using that crap Jenga pile of crash-prone plugins and Vray.
