Thank you! "Anything is a rib" is so true. Nothing fancy, just use what you have. That's an artists life.

Rubber ribs are great for working with groggy clay. They push the hard bits into the clay body while throwing, and can even be used as a burnishing tool in the trimming stage.

The card style hotel keys are great for customizing into a rib.They have a little bit of give, but they are not as bendable as the metal ones.

My favorite video I've seen yet....your mom. You two were so funny. I would have absolutely paid $19.99 for her creation.

Hello Dante I love watching your videos, fun and very useful! Thank you! I have been searching in your videos, the little pieces you use to make the samples of your glazes, but can't find them. I find them super useful... can you help me, please? Thank you! Tuchi Ramirez

BTW, what about the serrated edge metal ribs that you can use for scoring?
@EarthNationCeramics
@EarthNationCeramics Жыл бұрын
I really wanted to talk about those but then we would have had to go back into the old head Potter territory again. "Just use your pin tool or a fork, it's not even less strokes" Kinda territory. I decided the video was long enough.

@@EarthNationCeramics Yea, to your point, you don't really need the extra "fluff". When we got the first starter kit I think it had over 20 metal ribs and I use only one or two of them. I mean wood cost money but thin sheet metal cost pennies, I think you could stack 100 of them into a space of one wooden rib, and of course people will pass over the nice 10 piece set to get the 30 piece set (10 piece with 20 metal ribs).

Also, with all the extra metal ribs there is the "but Dante, which one should I use?"
