"Keys and locks are rare..." Well, guess not much chance for me to get a job there. Also, I do not photograph keys which are still in use and put on the net. I can see a section of the master key system just there and guess the one key outside the system holds your narcotics. Just a guess. No need to confirm nor deny.

Have you ever seen a compass' behavior at the "south pole"? If you go towards it, it should be pointing backwards, right? Because you're walking away from north. And when you pass the south pole, it should rotate and point forwards, right? Because you went from North to south, reached south, and suddenly going south to north. Anyone know of such an experiment? I can't find anything legit and convincing.

Hi Joe! My name is Narein and I am a huge fan of your South pole videos! I'm super interested in bio related research in the south pole as well! currently I'm a second year student at the University of Waterloo in microbiology and computer science. This term I am to apply for COOP jobs for my following winter term (Jan to april) and I was wondering if there was any position I can apply to in the south pole, or if you could help me find a position ! this is absolutely amazing ! my question: what it takes or how can you get a job in south pole ?
@amandah93543 жыл бұрын
That depends on the country where you have citizenship. In the US most get positions either through a research institution or the USAP contractors (www.usap.gov/jobsandopportunities/)
@navahou3 жыл бұрын
@@amandah9354 i mean i knew you need to be scientist or something but also other jobs are need there.
@amandah93543 жыл бұрын
@@navahou Look at the website. Anything not related to the NSF is support staff for science. There are opportunities for welders, carpenters, mechanics (large equipment mostly), janitors, electricians, plumbers, chefs, kitchen staff. It's a treasure trove of opportunity, but it may be more empty now. Most summer (Sept/Oct-Feb/Mar) jobs are posted in January, and there are a lot more summer opportunities than winter.

@@amandah9354 i will. thanks for that. they always will need chefs to cook for the staff :)

Good Day Joe. I am in the process of crafting a Podcast Audio Drama which takes place in Amundsen-Scott. Would you be willing to e-chat so I can make sure my story is as authentic as possible? I'd love first-hand accounts of what living in the station is like. Is there a station-wide PA system? Other than team 4, are there other first responders and what are they called. Is there truly a rift between beakers and contractors. What does the Music room smell like.... I have questions!!!

It's funny, I've had the thought to try my hand at writing a thriller while I'm here as well. If you like you can contact me on instagram @JoeSpinsTheGlobe, that's usually where I chat directly.

It's difficult, because TikTok has a vertical format and YT has horizontal format. It's such a pain to shoot things twice, and shooting wide then cropping usually doesn't work. I am working on videos for here as well, I've just been busy and YT has been the thing to suffer
