Intro to Wire Wrapping: Beaded Chain (Part 2)

BEAD WORLD TUTORIALS - INTRO TO WIRE WRAPPING - PART 2 (BEADED CHAIN)
This is PART 2 of an introductory video series that will teach you the basics of wire wrapping by learning how to create beaded chains, and other tips and tricks to improve your skills and help you learn! Watch the first video in this series called where we showed how to create the bead with two wire wrapped loops that you see at the beginning of this video. The first video will explain the very basics as this video will also serve as a recap and can help you practice your skills!

MATERIALS AND TOOLS USED IN THIS VIDEO:
* 24 Gauge Craft Wire - Silver (beadworld.com/...)
* OR 26 Gauge Craft Wire - Silver (beadworld.com/...)
* Any Center Drilled Bead(s) of your Choice! (beadworld.com/...)
* Needle Nose Pliers (beadworld.com/...)

WRITTEN INSTRUCTIONS:
CREATING BEADED CHAIN (adding one wire wrapped bead to another)
1. Take a piece of wire and grab it with your needle nose pliers (Leave at least 1 inch of wire above the pliers).
2. With your fingers, bend the wire 90 degrees away from you (backwards).
3. Switch to your round nose pliers and grab the bent wire at the Sharpie mark.
4. Using your fingers, wrap the wire around the top prong all the way down.
5. Slide the wire off of the top prong and onto the bottom prong.
6. Finish the loop by wrapping the wire all the way around the bottom prong so that it is back in the position where you started (a 90 degree angle).
7. Connect the loop you have just created to the loop from the bead we wire wrapped in the last video by threading it onto the loop (or any other loop you want to attach to).
8. Take your needle nose pliers and grab the loop that you just created (not the one connected to the bead from the last video).
9. Take your round nose pliers and grab near the end of the shorter wire and start wrapping around the neck.
10. Continue to wrap until you have reached about 2-3 full wraps around the neck.
11. With the flush cutters, trim the wire as close as you can to the coil you just created.
12. If there are sharp pieces sticking out, use your needle nose pliers to push them in.
13. Thread another bead onto the wire with the loop you just created.
14. Repeat the same process again!
REPEAT LOOP MAKING PROCESS STEPS:
1. Bend wire 90 degrees away from you.
2. Grab wire with round nose pliers at the Sharpie mark.
3. Wrap the wire around the top prong all the way down and slightly to the right.
4. Slide the loop off of the top prong and onto the bottom prong.
5. Wrap the wire backwards to its starting position (90 degrees backwards).
6. Wrap the shorter wire around the neck with the techniques we have already practiced.
7. Trim the excess wire as we have done before.
