I had a hell of a time dating these. I do believe most date from 2006 to 2008
I am releasing videos on the rest of my Sawcut bone Rough Ryder knives.

Wow that has amazing color in the saw cut! I wouldn't dye that one! They dont make them like they use to! Those Ropers are Fantastic users. Just to keep your nice knives nice! Thanks for the comparison Rusty!

ABKT who makes Roper also contracts some Remington lines. The backwoods, which has a rusty brown jigged bone cover with blackwashed 1065. Got a mid folding hunter with a thumbstud and pocket clip that is basically a Roper Pecos. The guide series has covers in stag and zebra wood. In 8cr13mov. Got a sweet single blade copperhead in the traditional shape. I've only got 2 others that meet that configuration out of 60+ in my collection.

Roper and Remington? Interesting. I do like Remington knives, but want to keep them USA made. BUT, if Roper makes them, maybe they are worth a look. Hmm Thanks for the info.

@@rustyminer the bullet knives are always USA made, but Remington has loads of other lines. At this point it's a brand produced under contracts. Remington divested it under bankruptcy and it was sold to Blue Ridge.

@@KennethKellogg-kt7bf Thanks again, I had heard the all the bullet knives are made in the USA and Blue Ridge was the holder of the name. I heard Blue Ridge is an off shoot of SMKW too. That's how SMKW got the last GEC built Hawkbill. I would like me a GEC Bullet trapper. I was not into traditional knives when they were first released, but they look real nice

@@rustyminer only thing I've found not on secondary market is the 2022 daddy barlow at knife center, still in Stock at original price. The bullet trappers are real scarce and when they do pop up they're obscene. Seemed real pricey to me in 2021 at first retail, but its doubled in 2 years. Crazy.
