With an upcoming interview in a couple of weeks, this video is so helpful. I got caught out big time in an interview many moons ago when asked the question "Introduce Yourself", and gave an answer not unsimilar to the one you've used at the start of the clip! Since then I've understood the importance of this ice breaker question, I cannot emphasise enough how important this frequent interview opener is - giving a good answer sets you up for the rest of your discussion and can absolutely make or break your interview. this is just based on my personal experience. may be will be helpful to some: 1: the technique is to pretend to put yourself as an interviewer and try to ask this question to someone. what do you really want to know when you ask this question relevant to the position. 2. we have to very careful also with the qualities we are declaring not to sound boastful or arrogant. tone and sentence structure matters. for example, saying to them you are hardworking or industrious is something that to be proven and not just to be said. 3. Attitude and personality during the interview really matters. Being respectful gives you a lot of advantages. we should be respectful or professional the way we speak or answer the questions. 4. give them necessary information only that you feel you are capable answering for any followed-up question. for example, you say you love reading books, make sure you can answer when they asked you what was the last book you have completely read including the author and what the book is all about.
