Especially since LOKI takes place right after A1---there isn't much room for character development in between the events that would give Loki time to naturally act like that. The only two logical explanations are that he's somehow being controlled again, or that Marvel decided to retcon his entire character bc they suck

@@BlueberryMuffins1234 I think I can can see what you're talking about. I think it may be a retcon of sorts. However, this kind of retcon is not a bad thing. Compare this Loki to the original one in The Dark World and even Ragnarok. He has the same charisma, wit, and pride. He will simply be having different experiences but I believe in the end of the show he might become similar to the original Loki. Only with new tricks...and possibly still alive. I think it will be awesome.

@@wchambers11 While Loki in TDW is certainly closer in character to A1's Loki than Thor 1's Loki, he still carries a deep weight with him. It's clear that there has been a serious chunk of his life that we weren't shown in between Thor and A1, which Hiddleston has alluded to in interviews involving s*icide attempts and torture by Thanos. Of course, I would hope that light is shed on those experiences in LOKI, but the trailers seem to suggest that they are making Loki a caricature instead of the well-rounded character Hiddleston so perfectly portrayed in Thor and TDW.
