GoPro cannot record at depths for more than 5 minutes @4K due to the necessary extra housing which traps high temps while recording and will overheat and shut down. It will however record at 1080 for a much longer duration. -just sayin from experience...

Still no 360 degree sonar so its gonna get tangled just like all the others before it... No meaningful UK support - sell and forget. I think I'll stick with open-source, at least there's a community behind it...

I personally think Chasing ROV are really easy and flexible to control. Operated open-source before. open-source has its own advantages too. But I'm glad to have this kind of choice.

I have 2 chasing M2. Happy so far. Only downside is that it does not display the Compass Heading and depth when connected to an HDMI output. It also cannot record the video displaying Heading and depth which is basically useless for inspections as client wont accept a video recording without Heading and depth.

Chasing has terrible remote controller and software. Also incompetent support service.

Also tech support is very poor. Largely due to their tech supports inability to comunicate in english. This is a really a huge problem. One has to send them videos to make them understand, even that takes a while and many times the diagnosis is wrong and the wrong spare is sent .

Hi, only the raw footage from the ROV camera will be output in the HDMI output, no other location information will be output. If you want to generate a watermark with information in the captured footage, please turn on the OSD function in the camera settings (below the record button) before shooting, you will see the time, depth, temperature, Heading, Pitch and other information in the captured video and photos, and it is recommended to calibrate the camera before launching it to get more accurate data information.
