I was using the 20 dollar per month plan. It was ok, but I am a software developer and the limited context window when working on large codebases spread across multiple files was really limiting. With the 200 dollar plan we were able to solve much more complex bugs and saved a huge amount of time so for my specific use case it is worth it. If you are working on complex projects with many parts it’s useful, but for a daily chat bot I’d not recommend it.

I was testing the new O1 full model, particularly in reasoning about decoding. I had written some chapters of a book some time ago, for which I created a new language. I didn’t show the model the entire alphabet directly translated but gave it 12 examples of phrases in Portuguese and in that language, along with the rules for how it was written and a few more hints. The model struggled significantly with simple pattern recognition. The language is very complex and unlike anything we already have or that might be in its training base. However, after the explanation and the rules I provided, it should have been quite straightforward to understand, especially with several examples. The result was far below what I expected.

Just cancelled my Plus plan, I am not supporting outright greedy practices, you just know that the Plus plan is gonna get gimped, like they did with the 4o model after a while. I'd advise people not to spend that money, do not let them win.

The problem Open AI has right away is that what you get for free is now really attractive! GPT 4o Mini is a fantastic model and benefits all the time from o1, so the ROI on the free version is going to be instant, on the $20 and now $200 is going to be super hard to beat free!

If it saves me a few hours a week it's worth it. Unlimited access is temping. I often have to call it quits for the day way to early because I've reached my daily / weekly limit. One thing I learned while being a Porsche tech. Buy the best, if I have a tool that saves me 10 minutes per car, it's well worth it.

Hello mr Corbin I was seeing your previous tutorials on webhooks so I personally am trying to integrate chatgpt or any other ai responses like gemini into the webhook and then connect it to a discord bot so that whenever a question asked to the discord bot it can use the webhook and asscess the information provided by the AI's so give an answer I hope you read this comment and make a specific video on this I would really appreciate it since I have been trying since morning (in basic terms simply integrating a AI with a webhook for a discord bot so that the bot's answers are of the AI's by the webhook)

So if I wanted to scale my app that uses an Assistant..technically it should be unlimited for them to use right and I really shouldn’t factor in token input and output…they also should be able to use better models of my assistant limitlessly to pull in and assess their data for a better experience … am I wrong in thinking like this?

Now this is ridiculous. They should take out "Open" from their name. I use the 20$ sub. I have programmed with it just fine, done complex analysis just fine. All the things they are promising for a 200$. Now I feel they would dumb down my version to make this 200$ look good. I' m gonna start looking for alternatives.

Honestly I use it for my everyday to help me manage an entire department for a multi mil company and I still wouldn’t pay 200 a month. 😅 maybe I would pay 75 a month making it 900 a year is acceptable but 2400 a year geez that’s a lot 😅
