I bow to all these exalted souls like Nayaswami Asha who have renounced possessions at such an early age. This comes from many lifetimes of "sadhana".

It is easy to be eloquent when you start with Patanjali and then add Swami Kriyananda's commentary! All credit to God and Gurus.

why is she constantly referring to Jesus and the Bible?

She is a disciple of Paramhansa Yogananda. Part of his mission was: "To reveal the complete harmony and basic oneness of original Christianity as taught by Jesus Christ and original Yoga as taught by Bhagavan Krishna; and to show that these principles of truth are the common scientific foundation of all true religions." I've copied the quote from his wikipedia page.

Nayaswami ? What is this funny order ? Before these selfproclaimed 'sannyasis' go and 'demystify' the Yoga Sutra, they should go to a beginner's class in Sanskrit. Her talk is rubbish and chatter, if you really want a good lecture with Satyananda Sarasvati Swami, who has mastered the understanding and the Sanskrit to that extent, that his translations are used by other, Indian born Swamis. Fron 1970 to 1974 I got to know the SRF people very well, I was once member of that club.

+Moshe Weintraub Ah...good, did the SRF people thought you to be that violent toward others or you just learned it from Sanskrit?...

My Gurudeva has said that criticizing the devotees is one way to ensure you will never progress in spiritual life, no matter what you practice or believe. 🙏
