as an artist myself, the goal in mind with this project seems fantastic. only thing I'd recommend is to keep proportions of modeled parts in aspect, mods that make models with too thin or thick shapes tend to break that illusion that create has mastered in itself.

You should also do a mod where you narrate stuff in minecraft. "The player decided to punch a tree. I hope that doesn't hurt too much." Possibly styled like The Stanley Parable. You kind of sound like that narrator. I almost asked if you hired him for this video.

perhaps water towers and the addition of fuels would make it seem more better since trains dont really have a proper power source. burnable fuel sources are literally just boosters for trains. and i wish that you can get fuels from chests and whatever you choose as a container. and. water. there was no water source for the trains. i really like this development. wish that you would get these suggestions since my account has been hacked sadly.

0:01 I think the 2 locomotives in the top left are AC44s, UP doesn’t have any Dash 9s left in service and those are pretty similar, probably not C44C6Ms either, I don’t think any of them have that scheme. I think the bottom left is a Black 5, not too sure with British steam. Top right, I don’t recognize those locomotives. Bottom left, I think that’s Australian. 0:08 Top Left is an ES44C4, an ES44 type exclusive to BNSF, it only has 4 of its six axles powered (An A1A-A1A wheel arrangement) Middle Left is GSMR 1702, a USRA S160, it ran on a tourist railway out of Fremont, NE for a bit before ending up at the GSMR Bottom Left looks like it’s Russian, or at least Eastern European. Center is C&O 1309. Top Right is probably a diesel made to look like a steam locomotive, many parks, zoos, etc have them. Bottom Right is the “Thomas” at the Strasburg Railroad, it was originally Brooklyn Eastern District Terminal 15. 0:14 That’s RGS 20, it’s at the Colorado Railroad Museum (If you want to know more about it check out their KZbin channel as well as the channel “Hyce”. 0:22 Left is a D&RGW Krauss-Maffei ML 4000, a Diesel Hydraulic locomotive built by Krauss-Maffei, Southern Pacific also ordered some and had more success with them (buying the D&RGW ones iirc). Middle is C&O 1309 again. Right is RGS 20 again, with another locomotive.

Very cool idea! I hope it will be a bit better than IR, as IR (imo) is only good with texture packs that are narrow gauge and try to replicate the minecraft look (voxel is not the mc style smh).

I love the idea of this and i would help but idk how to code or model things, and i dont want to learn but i have a few ideas of my own for it: High speed train casing, train casing but the trains can go much faster (it would be made by getting a train casing and deploying a netherite sheet onto it (obvs how to make that)) Pantograph, could make a train a bit faster and would require Catenary (also makes the train its on sound electric) Catenary, would power electric trains and be make with copper/redstone and dried kelp Destination board, could be placed on trains to display its next stop

I feel like given that it seems to be focusing on multiple aspects of train culture, Railroads and Ways feels pretty fitting and spans across the globe, and is also easily memorable. You’ve got Railroads (terminology for North American lines) and ways from Railways (terminology for other lines across the water)

@@user-yn4pu9hl2e Of course, my main criticism of the name is that it’s a bit sloppy to pronounce, like if the title were “railroads and railways” (not saying that’s what it should be changed to, just an example) it would flow better and make more sense grammatically

What do you mean by "A hole new track guage"? Will it be similar to Steam 'n' Rails' new guages?

It’s what we're calling (for now) MC Gauge (mine cart/minecraft). It’s the same gauge as standard mine cart rails, but made compatible with Create's train system. It equates to roughly a 20 inch gauge irl, and is ideal for mineshafts, tourist railroads, private lines, etc etc. Similar to Redwood Valley Railway's 15 inch gauge line :)

Currently the only planned gauge is what we’re calling MC Gauge (same gauge as vanilla Minecraft rails). However, other gauges like cape gauge might be considered in the future.

Like stated in the video, the mod isn’t out yet and there’s no estimated time for release. But when it does come out, it will be available on CurseForge and Modrinth.
