Great video , very good information. We have been using Neuman Roller Frames for 30 years, still have the first ones we bought . We can tense them to the tension we want, which is 30 newtons and if they start to lose tension , they can be retightened . It is an advantage to be able to stretch your own screens without chemicals. We have a stock of 32 frames . Works well for us. Keep up the great work !!!

Thank you so much for this video! I was struggling with a new ECO frame of a different brand but similar working, directions from supplier were lacking. Through this video I realized there were two levels to the 4 top frames that hold the mesh (I had the starting point at the lower ending level!). And that the mesh is wrapped once around the plastic! I was losing my mind but did hear that there was a bit of learning curve.

Hello, the video is very instructive, I have also observed that you do not use a flash cure of red quartz lamps, why is that if you could greatly accelerate the gelification times of the plastisol and water-based inks?
@squeegeeandink2 жыл бұрын
Hey, Our flash is just the best one we can get in the studio for single phase electrics. We would upgrade for sure if we had a different electric supply

Good video as always! We just purchased a tension meter to measure all of our screens. Hate to have to ditch the old 1s but I believe it's inevitable if we want to have better prints. Will have to look into stretching our own as well. Question though, do you have to adjust your squeegee pressure because the mesh is so delicate?
@squeegeeandink2 жыл бұрын
I think the squeegee being sharp and the ability to lower the off contact is better than having to put more pressure down…. Tricky though right?

What's the weight comparison like, I have a few Shur-loc's and you can tell their is a big difference in weight with a low tension screen.
@squeegeeandink2 жыл бұрын
With these two I just weighted them for you - the static weighs - 1.35 kg and the eco one is 2kg

How do you get the mesh back off. I bought a set using the code and meshed up easy enough but I've now realised I've no idea how to get them back off. I feel like I'm on the crystal maze shouting, I can't see what I've got to do.
@squeegeeandink2 жыл бұрын
You use the same tool but start higher up... pull the lever and it just dislodges it off the frame. Have another go.... or just cut the mesh and pull it off like that if you don't need to keep it?
@toolfankrk2 жыл бұрын
ok but can`t you just adjust the lower tension screen? Just wondering..
@squeegeeandink2 жыл бұрын
Hey. Not sure - maybe if you had roller frames but otherwise with the glued ones you can’t adjust the tension as the mesh is glued on 😎
@toolfankrk2 жыл бұрын
@@squeegeeandink i was thinking about adjustment on microreg.🙂
@squeegeeandink2 жыл бұрын
@@toolfankrk Hey, to a certain point you can but you would need to change your printing angle with the lower tension screens. Low tension mesh would sag and hit the print at a different angle and make it off registration.
