Good for you. The microphone and slightly better battery life aside, the Emberton II is actually more well-balanced in terms of sound. Plus the logo plate on this new one is worse, looking like a cheaper plastic plate than the second version. I was one of the luckier ones to snag the loud Marshall x Patta collaboration of the Emberton II earlier this year. Yup, the divisively obnoxious fluorescent orange one with the Rastafarian grille. Still love it.

My Marshall Emberton 1 has not been able to charge after more than 1 year of use, not too much music playing and not too loud volume, maybe the problem comes from the battery, but just over 1 year is probably too short for a portable speaker for the battery to have problems, I switched to JBl Xtreme 4 while waiting for feedback from the speaker repair person to see where the problem is with the Emberton, I also don't see many Emberton 1 users complaining about the error, maybe I'm the unlucky one 🤣

They do have limited releases of special versions every now and then. They just might bring the silver grille back. Watch out for those, though it might take some time.
