Introducing Guyanese culture on Liberty Avenue

This vlog is based on my nephew, Aslam and his wife, Sanita, introducing their children, Alana and Nolan to the Guyanese culture on Liberty Avenue. They visited Liberty Avenue for the first time and were excited to highlight it on The Shabna Show. We took them first to Tropical Isle Roti Shop, where we met the owner, Danny. Tasha an Instagram influencer - @Tashaa_Lovee, was also there at the time. Danny shared how he got started in the business and the plans that are undergoing to expand the business. I was also excited to try his doubles and we were pleased that it was ‘close enough’ to the Trinidadian doubles. We then went to meet Vicky, the owner of Real Guyana West Indian Market. We were surprised to see that he has expanded his store, which is stocked with lots of Guyanese and West Indian products and vegetable plants. We were also treated to snow cone, which brought back a lot of memories.

What a great story about how Danny has established his restaurant. It's very nice that he has a variety of dishes and plans to add more items to the menu. He seems very friendly, which is good for his establishment. the doubles being made by a Trinidadian? The snow cone is really looking good, and I hope that he gets his desire for the president to visit whenever possible. The store has almost everything indeed.
