I had a Guyanese landlady when I lived in London, she was a great cook and every now and then I'd get to share a delicious family meal with the family. I could never get bored food shopping on Liberty Avenue. A very enjoyable collab. 😋👍

Great job with this vlog Matthew! Makes me miss running around NYC for the food and shopping. It has been a while for me because I am busy here in South FLorida, but I am glad you were able to capture it for memories down the road. My mother only uses Lalah’s curry! It’s the best! I miss my family in NY and going to Liberty Ave. I usually try to stop by Sybil’s when I go visit to get cheese rolls, Guyanese patties etc. They just don’t have many places in FL where you can get those things, at least not in West Palm.

I have my mom and a few siblings live opposite the Little Guyana bakery. We go there all the time. We do not cook when we go to NY as you showed all those restaurants. We love doubles, that's the first thing we for when we get to NY. If you can share Guyana style fried rice that would be great. Thanks for sharing Matthew.

I just moved to nyc from Michigan and I’m happy to know where I can get all my ingredients... I haven’t tour around liberty avenue but seems interesting especially with all the vegetables and fruits ... my mom love watching your videos and of course follow your steps in cooking especially the egg ball recipe and comes out perfect

It was so nice to see Liberty Avenue, and I've made a list of places to check out next time I visit. I prefer the Champion brand of Chow Mein, and while Lalah's is good I prefer Indi curry powder. You should try it sometime, Matthew. Thanks for sharing!!

Singh’s is just alright to me. I like their variety but prefer Trinciti roti shop on lefferts Blvd when it comes to the food being tastier. Trinciti’s doubles is waaaay tastier.
