You need to release a new plugin that its just an IR loader with IRDX
@patrix_guitar Жыл бұрын
I think so too.

You can turn off each section (stomp box, amp, eq etc) by double clicking on them, then just use the cab and load your own IR

Too expensive for just that feature

@henningsrensen8043 to much effort and cpu size. Also a loader has to be a good file browser tool

Any chance of a standalone cab sim/IR loader with this feature?

I would reaaaaally love this myself, even if the MC can be used as an IR loader rn.

@@colinmitchell1287 It's a win win for everyone involved! It's hard to get that extra heft from IR'S without having to resort to over processing our tones.

That is an amazing revelation! Thank you so much for having IRDX already included in the Ampknobs. I have all of them and they sit great in my mixes, especially the RevC with the matched cab. With the amps sims from the competition I have the problem that they sound much too noisy or too artificial or too thin. You have saved my ass. PS: Just an idea: Since one should use different IRs on the left and right guitar, it would be great if there was a variation of the matched cab included in each Ampknob (if one doesn't want to mix them), because the matched cab is so perfect that I have not found something equal to it yet. PSS: Another Idea: A dynamic resonance filter that is affordable for bedroom producers would be also great. If you were to make an IRDX powered IR loader, maybe one could include that too?

I actually remember Acustica Nebula 3 could capture guitar cabs dynamically but the choice of mic combination was awful and as a result not usable. It's good that IRDX works with all normal IRs. Waiting for standalone, something like Stl Libra with drag and drop

Funny you don’t communicate on your aliasing performance. MLC subzero is the best amp guitar plugin I ever used. Even better at 96Khz! Congrats. I’m gonna make some video about it

We recommend using the ultra quality mode for everyone unless your CPU cannot handle it. Then you should not have any issues. Normal mode has some compromises but it still sounds great!

if i had to guess, it's shooting the IR's at different volumes to simulate dynamic speaker excursion, and then writing a plugin to treat that like a dynamic EQ.

After a lot of research, we decided to use machine learning for this process, which is an incredibly powerful tool.

I'm glad you're the trailblazers of this technology. It can only go further from this point on🤘 EDIT: I do have a question though! I've heard once a sound is digitally emulated, it loses its "true" sine wave and is more of a square wave. Analogue, or a real amplifier, still produces the actual sine. Is this true? And does it make a massive enough difference? I only ask this because the reproduction of the compression may still be another reproduction, but still an amazing step into digital becoming more and more like analogue!

Ya había probado los plugins de Neural DSP y STL Tones, pero este plugin marca la diferencia. La nueva teconología IRDX te acerca más la sensación tocar y escuchar un amplificador real.

Wait so BDH III automatically has IRDX activated in it by itself? Or is that an update to it?

It’s already there as long as you don’t disable the cab, no update needed. 😁

Is it necessary to update HD plugins to have IRDX technology? or does it already contain them from the beginning?
@Bogren.Digital Жыл бұрын
No need to update anything. IRDX is one of the secrets behind why Ampknobs sound so good!

Do I understand this correctly that all of your AmpKnob plugins already have this technology built-in, so this is only for use with other brands of amp sims and IR loaders?

That is correct. All Bogren Digital plugins have IRDX from the start. We just were not to talk about it until now. :)

So, do I need to update my RevC Ampknob to have the IRDX even when disabling the internal IR to use external ones?
@Bogren.Digital Жыл бұрын
All AmpKnobs have it since the beginning, no need to update. IRDX will only work if you used the built in cab. Once we add the ability to load IRs in RevC like we have in the BDH amps, IRDX will work on any external IR you load.

It’s a machine learning based system that reacts dynamically to the signal it hears, and responds to it. Exactly like a real speaker would.

As somebody who works professionally on dynamical system modelling I can guarantee that impulse responses have nothing magical and need no "advanced ML methods" to capture them. Nonetheless, the BD plugins sound killer.
@Bogren.Digital Жыл бұрын
There’s nothing new we’re doing about capturing IRs. But impulse responses are static snapshots with no time based information. IRDX works on top of existing IRs to bring back the speaker behavior that happens in the time domain.
@Jazzguitar00 Жыл бұрын
I think you're missing the point here. The point is about subtle movements in the speakers that are not linear. It's not that the IRs are bad it's just the response is perfectly linear and obviously that doesn't happen in real life. Little things change in the speaker as you play and none of that is replicated with an IR with a sine wave sweep.
@georgiosandmusic Жыл бұрын
@@Jazzguitar00 Fair enough. I mean, still, there is nothing mysterious on it either, I guess with multiconvolution over different amplitudes or something close to that. Then, in real-time, dynamically interpolate between these IRs and I think this is something done already by some companies. Could it be proper speaker modelling then? In any case, the plugins sound like crazy good. Love them!
