Introducing LAMBDIFY: the function that writes functions

Hi Dim, great video as always. I usually tend to also just one formula everything, but I struggle with card cases so LAMBDIFY is interesting. When I first heard you mention a function that writes functions i thought immediately about FORMULATEXT. Somehow I was also thinking about EVALUATE but you dont need that. But looks really interesting, clever joining of the values and removing unnecessary signs. I am so impressed on how creative and clever this is. thanks for sharing. I take a lot from your approaches and will continue to do that. Thanks. I learned so much since I heared about the Excel Esports and it hasnt even been a year. I cant wait to see how much I can improve. Again thanks for sharing 🙌☺

It’s crazy you’ve got where you have in less than a year! I’ve been doing competitive Excel since 2013 😂

@DimEarly there are still years between us. I feel comfortable with excel and i can solve many things in Single Cells as well, but i am just way slower, in general. A lot of people would say I think quickly, but it differs depending on to whom you compare yourself. When I see you solve the battles, especialle the live attempts, I get so excited, because I love how quick you think and how fast you understand the task and have an idea for a solution. My Excel skills need work, but I think my general problem solving and just the adaptability needs more work haha

Probably saves a small amount of time than vs. the data table approach, very interesting idea!

Wow, this is a very interesting LAMBDA, It should be a very complex function to be made.

I won’t say it’s easy, but for what it does, it’s surprisingly non-complicated. I think I wrote it in about an hour (I know it can’t have been much more, because it was on the flight from the MECC in Tucson to the MEWC in Vegas last year!). I’ll share the full thing very soon.
