It’s nice that you don’t interrupt the person talking about the features of the camper. Some other KZbin hosts interrupt constantly, keep up the good work Robert. So happy for you to have the connection with Winnebago …. Just might help them build what people want and increase market share.

Robert so glad you are loving the slide out, was sure you would once you used it a few times. Nothing beats that extra openness and especially if you are working in the RV like you do so much. Per the fridge, while we can open ours with slide-outs in, we try to keep the things we need most in the easy to access spots. We too loose a cabinet and one we do use, but it is above the sink and below it and we use those areas for things we do not need while at a rest area, etc. While that a/c unit is not cheap, sure it is well worth it on so many levels, the quiet operation, the ability to run on the inverter and sure like their other products built far better than most products in the RV industry. If I recall your a/c is not 12 volt, but I know in Europe they do have one that runs off of 12 volt. Per the shower, I think the older we get the more we appreciate a larger shower. I do wish they could have worked something out with ProPride. In future reviews you will need to let us know how long you can go without using shore power or hooking up to a generator. LOVE seeing you so happy with all that was done for you. I am sure many of us look forward to tours you should get of places that make these products you are using/testing.

I asked my dealer about ordering a Minitini III model. No date yet! 😭 I luv boondocking! so the inverter, panels, battery, silent Truma AC, tankless heater, efficient Truma heater, compressor fridge, etc. really have me wanting this setup! Murphy beds are awesome double use of space, so Robert was won over by the dual use :). I agree with you Robert about Oxygenics showerhead. One feedback for Winnebago: windows. Windows should be double paned, especially for the Comfort Pkg. And MORE windows for more light please, maybe on slide out sidewalls or bathroom. The competition's models are bright from light.

Hello Robert, greetings from 305. Congratulations 🍾 on your new Winnebago Micro Minnie 2108DS - Affectionately nicknamed “Minitini lll” Looks like Winnebago keeps improving an already excellent platform. The company is fortunate to have a great ambassador in you. I’m certain that your real world testing, providing good honest feedback has helped them in making those product improvements. Thanks for sharing, stay safe, till your next adventure 👍🇺🇸

Been watching for quite a while. Really like your channel. Have referred you to many people. I started watching because you are a humble person doing what you love. As you have been getting more popular, you are getting more commercial, free rv's, free this, free that. It makes me wonder if the popularity is getting to you. Don't lose the humbleness that got you here. I am starting to feel like you are becoming a big long commercial instead of being informational. There is an old saying that goes: Dance with the one that brung you.

@@forry100 The slide on the 2106DS is just a couch, no dinette. And the slide is only about 16" wide so when it's closed there is still a nice aisle all the way to the back, it only comes in even with the end of the cabinet/wall where the TV is.

Great job on trading in for Minitini III ! I'm glad that the AC works- I take it very well( maybe too well, maybe? 🥶🤭-I think it's great, especially on those very hot 🌞days)! I really appreciate that Winnebago uses actual campers and owners actually give feedback. I made a mistake in purchasing a different brand that clearly do not care about customer feedback and have had such a disappointing experience. I found a Micro Minnie 2306BHS that I'd love to trade into. But, that requires taking a loss in trade in. We'll see though! It may be worth it...

Robert, be very careful to exchange your tanks. You have brand new tanks and they have a 10 year life limit. Exchanging your tanks may get you a tank in service for many years.Get your tanks filled at a farm Co-Op or farm service place. They put 20 pounds of propane in the tanks. Exchanging your tanks get only 15 pounds of propane.

Hi Robert, exciting times for you. Looking forward to seeing your new adventures :-) We took delivery of a Bürstner Lyseo TD 690G motorhome in June over here in the UK. It's approximately the same size I think as the Sunlight that you used on your Scandinavian travelogue, but it has a double floor and thicker insulation for temperature stability. It has the Truma iNet 6E combined gas and electric blown air heating and hot water system. I love the Truma 6E system, which is powerful and quiet. I noticed that your Truma control panel looks very similar to mine, so you get specific error codes in the unlikely event of an issue. If your system has a main control panel linked to the Truma one then you need to switch on the main panel before switching on the Truma, and the reverse for shutting down, to avoid an error code. We don't have anything like the kit that was demonstrated here, but we do have an external shower and external TV point, neither of which we'll use, unless we go to somewhere warm like France or Spain for a vacation ;-)

Congratulations on your new Winnebago, looks great especially with those upgrades. Your videos inspired us to order our own 2108tb in February and we took possession in late June. We just returned from our maiden trip today. Everything went very well especially since it was our first camping trip ever. We also pull it with a Chevy Colorado but the diesel version and the truck handles it great and we averaged 16mpg which I though was great. Happy travels!

Robert: Awesome 3x!!! I can't wait to see your fabulous cooking on the road segments (I already have the large container of paprika.) The interior is so well thought out. The bathroom is going to have some changes with hooks and such, I am sure. The net over the bed is a great idea as is moving the slide out that extra inch or two when stopping for lunch during travel. I will also be interested to see how you mount your cameras-estoy enamorada con eso, Robert. Having the couch will allow for an eating area not on the table and the table can be used as a desk. Good thinking. What I did not think about was that the couch was covered by the bed during travel. The Murphy bed will have to be up to use the couch... Maybe that might be a thought for Minitini IV--how to customize the table area as an internet work area. So many of us are working VPN from home, how wonderful to be able to have a change of scenery and work VPN- con permisso, me entiende? Love this show and your enthusiasm. As always, GA from FLA.

Nice video. Since you the manufacturer’s ear, maybe you might want to mention to them that it would be nice for them to seal all the openings coming from the outside to the inside during construction. Fender wells, plumbing and electric penetrations all have large gaps that let insects , rodents and road dust in underneath the cabinets and can be sealed at the factory in minutes if done before the cabinets are installed

Robert, questions: We have always driven a small motorhome 26' or less since 1995 without a toad. Your videos over the years have really piqued our interest about small travel trailers, especially the Micro Minnies. The specs show 22' 4" length on a 2108 whatever, does that include the tongue, or do we add a certain length for the tongue? Compared to a 26' Class A motorhome, how hard is it to drive because with the tow vehicle it has to be quite long compared to a 26' vehicle? Then there's the pivot point at the trailer hitch and the sway ... would that, in your opinion make this size travel trailer too difficult for someone turning 70 this year to drive? We're changing RVs this year and wonder if we should consider travel trailers.
@TravelingRobert
@TravelingRobert 2 жыл бұрын
Yes the length includes the tongue and while it can be a challenge especially backing up you get the hang of it.
@auroranite

If you have the right tow vehicle this will be easy learning curve to tow. I have no trouble when we towed our 1985 Lance with our 1500 Sierra Truck, didn't even know it was there it towed so smooth. When I used our GMC Yukon SUV I was white knuckle on highways. Its possible the weight distribution hitch wasn't as spot on as needed to be but I still would use the truck over a large SUV. A double axle small camper is what you want and this Winnebago has it. Single axle not as maneuverable, also adds protection if a tire blows out you still have 3. Don't believe any salesperson that tells you your SUV will tow this just fine.There are exceptions, but generally no. A 1500 half-ton truck is what you need to tow this size trailer with ease and confidence. The 1500's usual tow capacity is about 13k pounds. Also the tow vehicle is just as much about stopping as towing. Yeah a small SUV can tow it BUT will it stop it? No it will push the lightweight tow vehicle with its weight. Good Luck hope this helps. One other thing that is appealing for the Micro Minnie line is the 7' width vs. standard 8' on its competitors. It will track right being the tires of your tow vehicle and not extend beyond. This also helps with rearview mirror visibility.

My hubby and I LOVE your shows… but may we just suggest, at first, you had the super fast music, that you wrote and is great for when you are riding down the road, where its like super fast dance music, but it was quietly in the background while the first person was trying to talk about some changes, but even quiet it was distracting. We have noticed that many people feel they need music playing while someone is talking. later, you didnt have the music and we could concentrate on what they are saying about the new rig. just our 2 cents. but we love all that you do.

When a company gives a product, they want one of their reps to talk about it. Per information, they may or may not have talked about it, it depends on how the presented and the flow if Robert thought it should be in the video. Some things may have been asked to wait to talk about specs until Robert had time to use the products and give his feedback to them and us. I know I prefer my wife or I discuss our products from many reasons.

@@forry100 these big wigs need a reality check. Our company literally directs owners and CEO's into how to promote their brand - that is what we do . Those who listen, perform very well. Those who do not, always complain about low performance. I get what you are saying, however, my specialty is directing businesses into success and we have an impeccable record. The problem with these big companies is their ego and head got too big, which is why their skit literally sucks. If it wasn't for Robert, I would completely ignore them and turn them off immediately. One of the very first things to get replaced in a new trailer is the mattress. Try finding a comfortable split mattress. Winnebago took a couple of huge steps back this year!

I agree on the Murphy bed but I find the convection oven to be a better alternative.

That longer hitch makes it nice to be able to open the tailgate, but it also creates more leverage which increases the load on the Trucks rear axle, and provides a longer lever for the trailer to push the back of the truck around. If you are experiencing more sway, try shortening the hitch. I tow a MiniLite 2104s with a Colorado and shortening the length of the the hitch made a HUGE difference.

I am excited to see that Winnebago is actually using the experiences of an actual user to improve the trailer. This is truly listening to the end user's input. I wish that Winnebago includes some of the great features of the Ekko into their trailers. For instance, maximizing storage space, the pivoting lavatory wall in the bathroom, and the Froli systems mattress spring-like base (not sure if Winnebago uses Froli System or other brand). Winnebago, if you make a larger Ekko-like Class C with a diesel engine with the features included in the Ekko and the improvements shown in this Micro Minnie 2108DS, it would be a home-run. I would buy it right away. Great job Robert and enjoy the Minitini III.

Robert, all the new features look fantastic, but I'm very surprised that Winnebago didn't install a slide topper to prevent sticks/debris from damaging the slide seal when closing the slide (or having to clean off the top of the slide)? It's really nice that you can run the A/C with the inverter and it's quiet, that's great.

@@TravelingRobert at your neighbors in FL we had to sweep the top even with the toppers, beautiful area, but a lot of dirty trees. Thinking maybe an air blower wand might be better than sweeping, for me and the semi very easy, for you would have to use your small air compressor, not sure it would produce enough air. Always can hose off too.

@@forry100 Jim, I've used an electric blower in the past when I've had a small slide with no topper (bought one cheap off of Amazon), but I've always opted for a topper with larger slides. I've never had an issue with having to use anything when the topper is on, as everything slides off when closing. I've cleaned the dirt off the topper during a normal washing of the rv. I wouldn't have a normal slide without one. RVing/camping needs to be fun and less work. Kind of like the grills they used to use with new campers, they were horrible, they didn't cook evenly and a huge pain to clean. The new griddles seem to be a lot nicer. Currently I use a Coleman grill/griddle/burner combination (have for awhile) and love it, it cooks great and is easy to clean and put away. Take care.

Thank you so much for the tour - We took delivery on our new 2021B #2108DS this week with 12v refridgerator, 100 watt solar, dinette and murphy bed. Eagerly watching to see how you organize MT#3. Concerning power supply, my intent is to upgrade to a vehicle with onboard power. Either the new Tundra or Ford F150 hybrids with onboard generator / inverter will do. Again thanks

Why don't you ask Winnebago to shorten the booth for you by about a foot (table and both benches). Since it sleeps two people the booth doesn't need to be that big. If they won't, I'd at least switch out the table top to a shorter one so I would have more room when I'm cooking and the slide is in.

Rick while Winnebago is good, keep in mind that not everything on this current Robert build is available to the general public, YET. But do let Winnebago know what you love and are willing to pay a little extra for. I personally think the extras could be a game changer and keep resale value higher than a normal build trailer.

@@rickskidmore3075 not sure if I asked you before, maybe on Facebook, do you have family in Ohio? I have great grandparents, maybe great-great, that are Skidmore's in the West Mansfield area of Ohio (in Logan county, not far from Bellefontaine and Marysville). Do not have access to my records at the moment and getting too old to remember everything to recall what generation, but on my grandpa Forry's side. I believe the Skidmore families still own a lot of farm land in that area.

Robert and Illy (sorry if sp is incorrect) This is just a THANK YOU. Why you ask? Well, I don't know about others, but 2020 & 2021 has been extremely difficult...I lost my job thanks to COVID, and at 53, finding another one has not been easy or productive at this juncture, and I have found myself sinking into depression which is a daily battle. You guys and your videos help keep the darkness at bay, and even bring smiles and laughs. You remind me there ARE still kind people out there in the world when at times we are bombarded with ugliness. I find myself rewatching 2019 videos thinking how we took that year for granted and wish we could go back and hit pause. Anyway, thank you again for allowing me to utilize your videos as an avenue to fight my way through my "valley" as I attempt to climb up in search of the next summit. You guys are appreciated more than you could possibly imagine, and may God continue to bless you for blessing us with your work. Much love and deep gratitude. Shannon Windsor P.S....My 18yr old son says hello and he enjoys you also. (I got him into after he lost his Dad to cancer 12/27/19.)
