Mr.Boyd, I always try to accentuate the positive in a reaction, but I also feel it constructive to point out the negative as well when indicated. On the plus side, it was great for you to bring a friend and introduce her to Angelina and this performance. It is how word spreads and more people are exposed to this angel. Thank you for that. On the other hand, considering the many dozens of times you have reacted to her over multiple years, I can't tell you how disappointing it is that you don't even know the actual story of the shoes! A smaller point is that it is well known that Angelina was 9 years old here, and not 10. I wouldn't pay much attention to it normally, but with the commitment you've made over time to reacting to her, you really should know most everything about her. Reacting is more than just numbers of subscribers. It is taking interest in the artists personally and generating fan loyalty by reading and responding sincerely to the comments. She was 6 when she was visiting the Middle East with her mother and Grandmother, and she saw a homeless girl on the street weighing people with a bathroom scale for tips. Angelina saw her, and felt sorry for her, and went and weighed herself over and over because most of the people passing by were ignoring the homeless girl. Angelina had taken her boots off because she didn’t want to soil the girl’s scale, and she noticed the girl didn’t have shoes, and her feet were scarred. The homeless girl admired Angelina’s boots, and Angelina gave her boots to the girl. Angelina says that at that moment, she was filled with emotion, as if from heaven! And at that time, she vowed she would always sing barefoot until all the children of the world had shoes! Now, what 6 year old thinks like that? This was BEFORE she made her first appearance on Norway’s Got Talent!

The real story has nothing to do with a concert. The girl in question was a shoeless street orphan in Iran, & Angelina gave her the favorite sea-green ankle boots she was wearing.
