That is a sweet opportunity for my 4 years reef tank to finally know what par I'm running my Radion G5 at, and if I have to change something or how to change the seting for a successful reef tank! Uk based as well. Thank you, Charterhouse !

Id love it because none of the shops or people in the Facebook pages in Northern Ireland have anything like this to rent or buy!! And as a newbie it would be a great help 😊

Just about to order my first new Red Sea aquarium and been looking at par meters and other methods of measuring light to ensure that my attempts at coral growth are as successful as possible. I’d love to give the parwise a go!! 🪸 ☀️ 😊👍🏻

Having a Par meter will help me because I have a deep tank and it makes it hard to judge or use comparisons, I feel like my Radeons are either too low or too high intensity and I'm never satisfied. Cant wait to see more from you guys in the future!

As a current law student and aquarium hobbyist I do not always have the ability to pay for all the tools that would allow to me maintain the healthiest and most successful Aquarium. Often, I find myself relocating my corals because they are either receiving too much or too little light. If I had a way to test the intensity of the light my reef tank It would vastly Improve the health and safety of my corals as I would be able to accurately place them in areas of the tank most suitable to their needs! Love your videos, looking forward to the next one!

An issue I find in a full aquarium of corals is moving those which are being out competed into a area where it has both similar light and flow conditions surrounded with neighbours that are more forgiving, the ParWise will help resolve one of those problems.

I’ve been waiting for the US release ever since I saw the video from Interzoo. I definitely need one, as I’m one of the few holdouts still using metal halides, so it would be nice to chart the bulbs lifespan and spectral output. I need one!

This will be a really useful tool for you with Halides... got a bit of personal love for the halide colour and shimmer...! Too expensive to run in the UK now though!

Parwise looks very cool! As long as it’s accurate, having PAR and Spectrum could be a great tool for any reef hobbyist. Stores could purchase these and rent them to hobbyist.

In my 8 years of reef keeping one constant question for me has always been how much par my corals are getting, is it to much not enough, would my corals do better with more or less. Now with this tool not only can I measure the amount of light each coral is getting but I can also know if it’s the right spectrum for the health of each coral.

I would love to have an accurate reading of the output from my Hydra 32s to make sure I have my corals in the right spots with enough to light to flourish. No LFS anywhere near me have a PAR meter to rent or borrow. Owning my own would be amazing!

Thats the beauty of it - once you've got one - every time you get a new coral you can be sure of the light and spectrum you're giving them - and then share that data with other hobbyists for what your successes are vs theirs!

I currently keep planted tropical aquariums and knowing and understanding the light requirements for a reef tank is one of the main things that keeps me from moving into marine so something like this would be very helpful in taking away one of the worries.

@itcreefculture
@itcreefculture Жыл бұрын
The beauty of PARwise is, because we're able to measure spectrum - We can ignore parts of the light spectrum that don't fall into that technical range. This makes a big difference to the level of accuracy as many PAR meters over read with near UV light! Given the popularity of the BRS Biology Band that's cropped up - we could include that 'spectral range' as a measurement as a method of light comparison too.... provided the community can decide on the range they want to compare!

Always been interested in what light I’m getting throughout the tank but never sure how to interpret it. This sounds like it gives a fuller picture and certainly would improve my understanding and hopefully help with those corals I never seem to have any success with. Appreciate its not only light we need to consider with achieving a healthy tank but it’s certainly a big part of it.

I've been looking for a fairly prices spectrometer for over 6 month trying to realized our needs for progressing the success of our high school coral farm. We plan to use this instrument for small light and corals experiments where we both teach our students how to do research and also to improve the knowledge of the effect of light to the aquarium industry. We promise to keep you all updated.

Have a Seneye but would be really keen to try the parwise. Would like to see a stand alone downloadable app to use for the future in case of internet outages, or to hedge against obsolescence (eg so we can keep using this after the company moves on to their next device and can’t keep supporting a legacy device).

Something I always wanted to know was how my DLI is impacting my corals as I run my lights for 14hrs 50% with low blue only spectrum and other 50% with all high PAR spectrum so that I can see my tank all time.

Rewatching this, maybe I missed it but is there a wand or way to mount the unit so that you can reach lower parts of your tank? If not that could be a real deal impediment to practical use in any decent size tank.

as a hobbyist im always trying to learn from my many mistakes i have more fails with corals than wins. I feel this product will help so many to learn and understand what our corals need, i also think it will be a great tool to help so many people from beginners to expert to actually sit down and understand what is actually going with each individual coral. This is going to be a total game changer for so many people maybe now being able to dial each coral right in there might actually be a chance of success at least for me lol. This has got to be the best product that has came out in a long time main thing is its affordable for people that cant afford the expense of a highly priced unit most people cant justify spending x amount of pounds my life is hard enough trying to hide prices from the mrs ill probably go to hell for all my white lie's lol

The PAR readings are off by 25%. The spectrometer function can't find two wavelengths 50 nanometers apart. Aside from pretty colors, it's really useless to a hobbyist. ITC will never mention its accuracy. It's a $300 toy.
