@omonijofemi The technology exists. The platter vinyl could stay the same thickness as a regular record. Somewhere around the label or under it, it would be raised a little for the gyro chip, and you could make some wireless charging device like a USB-c record sleeve. I know it's a crazy idea but to me the original phase does everything it needs to - not really sure it's deemed an upgrade imo.

I'm sure these will sell like hot cakes but I can't be the only person who is let down by this. It's essentially an upgrade to show off your logo 🤷‍♂️ everything else can already be done from your mixer exactly how you like doing it. I'm not saying it won't look cool tapping the phase to do tricks but I really hoped they were gonna finally get rid of the thing in the middle of the record, I love to touch the spindle and I can't do that with phase.

Good thing Phase Pro is smaller and thinner ;). Regarding the circular shape, as for Phase Essential, various technical challenges and constraints led us to create a rectangular shape rather than a circular one, which remained the case for Phase Pro.

Good luck for $800 price sell! Be realistic you could either use your DJ CARTS AND STYLUS to play the records or if you worry about the needle jump buy the controller for $800.

Have there been any improvements regarding latency? Additionally, HID mode performance has been less than ideal with most softwares (likely with the exception of Serato). Has this issue also been addressed?

Well, they would need to come up with a round device with a screen that stays still (actually the display is turning at the same speed as the vinyl it is attached too but in the opposite direction so that you always see it still). So it would change the game again in the way that any turntable could have a center touch display attached to it, but a "fix" to watch one... Then if they manage this technology first, its another story again, adding display control to any turntable... But this version like it is, is not practical for work, how you gonna hit this small display to the function you want while its moving around ? Maybe if you customize a series of one hit function, so wherever you hit it, the result is thid function being activated, its will not be possible to have 2-3-4 because you wont precisely press the correct region of the turning display... So if the display was somehow not turning, instead adapting to stay still... Then we into something huge. Need more work guys. But it will sell as its very cool even if less practical. I may be tempted just because of the look it gives :)

It work with the normal Phase. You Connect DJ 1 with USB and you Connect the RCA to the Mixer. DJ 2 Connect normal with the Mixer with the Mode Int and DJ 1 Connect with USB and the Mode HID…. Booth Dj’s can use it without trouble…. I do this with my DJ Partner all the time….

As a matter of fact that's what's we did! With Phase Pro, we optimized the battery autonomy to up to 15H even with the OLED screens on, and you'll be able to customize your screen color/logo to your needs! The rotating touchscreen on the other hand may seem counterintuitive, but it turns out after testing it with many DJs at NAMM that they absolutely digged it! And we're still working hard to make it as easy to use as possible. 🙂
