Great Program, I just wished that they return the transparent assembly tree. That way you have more space in your screen.

I think they made the change because monitors are cheap now. Just get another one and move the assembly navigator there

how can we import some standard parts of some jobs to our design from different websites

Hi - Thanks for your patience while we reached out to the product team for this information: "Here are the steps to import 3D CAD data from another CAD software into Solid Edge: 1. Obtain the 3D CAD model file you want to import. This could be in a variety of neutral file formats like STEP, IGES, Parasolid, etc. 2. In Solid Edge, go to the “File” and then "Browse" menu. 3. In the file browser, select the file format you want to import from the "Files of type" dropdown. For example, if importing a STEP file, select "STEP (*.stp, *.step)". 4. Navigate to the location of the 3D CAD model file and select it, then click "Open". 5. Solid Edge will then prompt you to select the appropriate document type that you wish to use (Part, Sheetmetal, Assembly). 6. The 3D model will then be inserted into your Solid Edge part or assembly document. You can then position, orient, and make any necessary modifications to the imported geometry. 7. Solid Edge supports importing a wide range of 3D CAD formats, including STEP, IGES, Parasolid, ACIS, SAT, and more. The ability to import 3D CAD data from other systems allows Solid Edge users to leverage existing 3D models and designs, saving time and improving collaboration across different CAD platforms."
