Fender will always be big but we can remember Supro is Special. My First Amplifier was a Silvertone 1484 age 14. I now have the entire '60s Silvertone Line up. I wish all the new players will try out these SUPRO's while they are in production.

Bravo, Dave & Bravo Supro! for 5 ears now, I played the Black MagicRT, the head and cab configuration, on many an album; The thing has character in big doses. Sure it's chime-y and distinctive; But that interplay between Trem & Reverb, when engaged, create that Supro character Over-Drive that I've never heard anywhere else. Congrats on the new additions here!

I can't wait to get a DELEGATE. IT would be nice if Vacuum Tubes could be manufactured in the USA.

Not against spending money but $3500 for the ambassador is crazy. $2699 seems appropriate. Good luck.

Are any of the current amps (Black Magick, '64 Reverb etc) made in the US?

No, all in China. and quality issues on amps like Royale are extremely common.

Try a Deluxe reverb kit and if you R worried about safety get an amp tech to assemble it, it will be less expensive and sound glorious plus you can learn a lot in the way so you can build your own ...from scratch and you will have an amp that is tailored to you, makes a difference when you are involved even in a minor way to the building of a great machine. We all know that Fender and Marshall and Vox earned their respect the same way, specialising in Electric instument amplification as their foundation. Or find an 60s Supro and have it serviced. Happy hunting.

That’s a Gretsch style cab. Valco made both brands but that cab is Gretsch. Why not start a Collaboration with them? Put out some 6161’s with 6973’s. Sovtek makes a version of them that isn’t quite the same but close. Just add a depth control to the fabulous tremolo in those amps. It makes it a lot better. 😊

Well sure that wouldn't work since Gretsch is owned by Fender and they wouldn't cut off their nose to spite their face !

There will be a small "surcharge" sir for the extra 29 mins labour of driiling 2 holes and soldering 2 x1/4 " in/out jack sockets to the chassis plus the appropriate wiring. Will that be all today sir, may I interest you in some-thing for the "Week-end"? Sorry bout too many years around showbiz types. I would be surprised if the did'nt put send/returns because it is a feature that can make or break a sale.

Good thing that they don't have an amp that can handle both Jazz & Funk, because that thing would surely be...Junk!

PCB mounted tube sockets don’t scream high quality. Sorry.

I just don't get that. I mean, a well-built amp doesn't necessarily need them but it gives the buyer a bit of peace of mind to know their board won't get smoked if a tube socket overheats. Is it that much harder to just attach the sockets to the chassis?

..and seem to be just held by twist tabs....nothing on that unfinished PCB equates to what I'd expect from USA handbuilt....cab build looks good....still,nothing to stop them sounding good which is what will bring sales....and good to see new USA built anything these days so hope its a success for them....

Well spotted, if the amp was 50% less expensive it might almost be acceptable. I think this is the reason a lot of players have a go at building their own from a kit and then take a leap into building from scratch. Took me nearl a year to convert a pcb combo to completely hand wired and chassis mounted valves and pots etc and "Yes" it does sound different. You will burn your fingers, sweat like camel, get blurred vision and find yourself going out to find a hardware shop that's open at 10pm but it will be worth it just remeber to eat and take a lot of breaks. I can tell the sound of a pcb even after it's been processed. I don't really care as long as it sounds good and is a reasonable price. It sounds like a Marshall origin with very good reverb.

@@giulioluzzardi7632 That's wild. I always suspected you could trace a PCB circuit and handwire it but I had never heard of anyone who actually did it. Sounds like it took as long as I suspect it would though.

Just an observation, why after all that effort did you decide to place the valve bases/sockets on a board, you know very well they will work loose with heat and wear and tear. A simple pre,-amp replacement could snap the connections in an instant. You will tell me that the best quality boards and valve pcb bases were used but that looks more like a computer pcb board than a hand wired circuit because of the design. You know the people that are going to buy this type of amp want to see it's circuit even just from a servicing point of view...un-less you train a few techs Worldwide to be your "Official" Supro go to service centres. You want to think big then you must dream big and go back to the drawing board give the valves a metal solid base screwed into steel and soldered so they can be replaced easily if necessary. Looks neat and tidy just not practical. That's my 2 pennys worth. Build us a "Good-un"!

inferior to originals, why not just do real hand made boards? it's not crazy amount of extra time. 50 years later and you can't replicate? boo...hard pass. these won't sell well. how does supro not predict this? nostalgia look is cool but not $3k pcb cool...fail!

Lol, maybe you should focus on the quality control of the amps you already sell, I love my black magick but I previously had four different amps that all had to be sent back, three different Amulet amps, two were DOA and the 3rd had a buzzy speaker. Then I tried a 64 reverb that had a faulty reverb tank. I do love my black magick but sort it out!
