@@afcacbs8544 yes but when the 777 was launched in the 90s and even the -300ER variant in 2004, Boeing recommended a 3-3-3 layout in economy class. Only a handful of early operators opted for the 10 abreast economy class (the only I can actually find definitive proof of is Emirates) but with more and more airlines switching to 3-4-3 on their 777s it is nice to see an airline Introduce a new product that sticks to the original 3-3-3 layout.

I think the reason TG did a 3-3-3 economy in their newest plane was so that it would maintain commonality in case of a last minute aircraft swap. So in that case they don’t have to reissue 200 boarding passes. That’s why most airlines in Asia have airplanes with economy cabins that start at row 21 when it’s the first row of economy and 4 rows of business beforehand.

Sadly in most cases, the extra space goes into making the aisle wider more often than not, the seats don’t seem to be much wider even if there is one seat fewer. The main plus of 3-3-3 for me is the reduced chance of getting a middle seat if you’re travelling alone.

It's true. Not all airlines introduce 3-3-3 in economy. One inch extra on the seat width can really make a huge difference if we are flying on long haul.

In a 3-3-3, the 777 is very comfortable to fly. Yes of course, the GE90 would make the experience less good, that why been prepared whit good noice cancelling noise things would help:)

I always love Thai but in recent years even prior to COVID they have cut so much ... Even silverware in economy for regional flights taken out. Though the 777 -300er is a great aircraft I still prefer the a350 becos the 777 is pretty noisy!

The reason they took out meals and silverware is cause of covid, it is required by the Thai law sadly hopefully it can change soon!

@@maybe_tyler see I don't buy it though I respect your comments. If it is COVID it's funny why then business class folks still enjoy silverware? It's double standards same goes to SQ ... They claim is sustainability I find it odd then take out those silverware from business too. SQ has taken off the beautiful menu the silverware and now for flights less than 4 hrs boxed meals with wooden cutlery. To take away hot towels is also weird but I accept that is becos of covid restrictions etc... End of the day is I would respect airlines for doing their out most to contain costs but again they all don't seem to learn from COVID. They better fast to treat the traveling public better!

Hi Thai Airways team, It has been more than 2 years since my flight got cancelled in Mar 2020, and I have yet to receive any refund since then. Voucher is not acceptable. After all these dramas and internal problems that almost killed the airline, I'm so surprised that many people still like THAI. I flew THAI before, many times, and they had tons of problems: slow luggage handling, can't secure the gate at its own "HUB" until we had to board the bus, delays, and huh, more expensive than SIA...
