Oh my god... perfection from a boxer. Gorgeous automobile with alot of incredible features. I've been a Subaru fan for 27 years but never had a chance to own one just yet. Subaru you always allow your engineers to shine with a touch of class and power.

As an owner of 2015 outback, I can say the CVT is not bad in the term of acceleration, fuel economy, and responsiveness. Why people say cvt is garbage? I think that Ascent can provide all of things what family want, such as 8 seat, driving confidence in bad weather, fuel economy, even outdoor activity. I want to go down with this car the Shaffer trail in the Canyonland national park. I used before the trail with Grand Cherokee, 8.7" clearance, same with this car.

1) Make remote start stay on when you open the door. 2) Run on regular fuel. 3) Get that second row perfectly flat when lowered 4) Rear seat climate controls and available 2nd row captain chairs on even base models 5) do the first four, and it will be best in class.

This engine will likely with some mods go in the next outback. Probably the next forester xt too....and wrx. For the Sti it needs more boost.

I haven't even marry yet and I got this vehicle. It's a very comfortable vehicle with all the safety features in place. The Eyesight comes standard in this model, not optional like others. Plus the boxer engine gives the car a more balanced weight distribution front and back that gets you an even smoother ride. This is the ideal vehicle for drivers and passengers who like comfort.

Whitney Allen I’m sure it will be, especially if you get the 2nd row captains chairs, that way you won’t need to remove a car seat to allow easier access to the 3rd row. Hope the Ascent is all you could ever want, happy building!

Yeah but the CX9 250HP on premium and a pathetic 227HP on regular makes the CX9 a very polarizing drive... Pretty good on acceleration! but terrible highway passing power, Compared to all the segment.. The Pilot is faster on both ends, but the CX9 is definitely the better looking of the bunch.

At about 4500lbs and 260HP, that's roughly about 17lbs/HP. Outback 3.6R is 3600lbs/256HP, so that's about 14lbs/HP. I like my 3.6R fine, I hope they don't discontinue it and leaving 2020 OB with only 2.5L option or Ascent with 2.4L Turbo. I'm not sure I want the 2.4L on OB considering extra maintenance and premium-gas requirement.

While this is the biggest and "most spacious" Subaru built, it is not the largest at carrying cargo. Believe it or not, this can carry less with all the seats down than the Outback AND the Forester. To compare: Ascent - 72.8 cubic feet, Outback - 73.3 cubic feet, Forester - 74.7 cubic feet. Against other three row SUVs like the Highlander, Pilot, and 2018 Arcadia it also quite a bit smaller. Also, Subaru has not announced if it uses regular or premium - all Subaru turbos have used premium up to now.
