At 1/10th what a reissue would cost and roughly 6% the cost of an original, the Behringer Model 55 represents an affordable, historic, teaching resource readily available to learning institutions at every level as well as many individuals with the drive to learn. I've read many criticisms about certain choices made by Behringer that have and haven't been made to improve upon original designs; I've wondered myself at times (the K-2 comes readily to mind) . In most cases however, the Behringer synths maintain a measure of historic authenticity that allows for an equally authentic experience when using them. It's not just about the sounds these synths make, it's about the experience; the experience the user can now share with the pioneers who originally brought these electronic instruments to the fore. I've stated it before and it bears repeating that Berhinger is putting into the hands of the "common" world, synths that had become the exclusive purview of the elite who created a "vintage" market far out of reach for all but the wealthiest. Vive la Behringer!

I have wanted a pre-built eurorack system so badly, and I think the idea of the System 15 with lots of room to add our own choices of modules beyond the basics just might be the best way to get going in Modular ever.

Ironically, I have been slowly building a System 55/System IIIc using your modules. I love that you have added the Midi Module. I think we would all love to see you release the few Moog modules that differed from the System 55, such as the 901 oscillator driver and 901 oscillator, the reverb unit, etc... Similar to the 2500 series, where Quad ADSR, Voice Unit, Dual Oscillators, and random signal generators from that series would allow us to build a truly historical setup that Emerson and Townshend would be blown away by! Keep up the great work!

I already built my own and put it in a walnut case because as you can see - the go pro cases are not wide enough to put all the modules from the central bank in their original configuration. I filled in the gaps with some extra Dopfer Lfo. and a second LPF

I have no interest in this type of "messy" synthesizer, but that doesn't mean I'm not excited for Behringer releasing it. Whatever your opinion of the company is, it's doing what no one else has done, which is bringing the old, unattainable goodies to the 2020s. Being good is distant from being great, and Behringer is doing the latter. I respect courageous, trailblazing companies...regardless of who gets run-over. The kitchen is made for whoever can handle the heat! Behringer is giving us what we want. It's as simple as that, and better yet, made in a new, modern factory! How couldn't I be happy and excited?

The CM1A MIDI to CV converter will allow you to do that. They mention it @ 2:07

I built a mixture between a 35 and 55... It's a 55 without the sequencer and the gate converters. But with all 921 oscillators, I had to switch because the 921B are totally unstable in their keytracking. Thankfully my local distributor replaced me the 921B for 921 without hesitation. The 921 are rock solid.

I would love to see a back to back comparison of these affordable Moog modular clones against the far more expensive Moog modular systems to see if Behringer is close to the real thing. That said, these are great option for regular folks who are not independently wealthy and want the Moog modular experience.

You should have heard it through studio monitors during the filming session. These systems are room shakers! The sound example at around 02:14 is only using 4 out of the 7 oscillators on the SYSTEM-55 ;-) - Dan

A 3.5 kEUR Behringer synth, that's KARP 2600 FS or Prophet 5 Rev4 money. B is entering the premium market :) Nice bundle, the System 55 looks very cool indeed!

And today Behringer brings out the next awesome Synth, and the most of us think "really nice, ill buy it, this month or a few Months later". Sadly as authentic as they have claimed to have made these new systems, the modules are flatly incompatible with real vintage Moog format modules. The voltage specifications are different, the tuning are incompatible, triggering is a whole different issue even.. They seem to be only compatible with themselves which makes this rather pointless to launch.

Each *Go* case is 140HP Dimensions (W x D x H) : 723 x 311 x 112 mm Two cases stacked: W 723, D 311 + 112, H 112 + 311 plus a little bit of extre D & H where the 2 cases meet.
