Congratulations for re-inventing PVS-31. Heck even AGM does 51-degree optics (yes I know that they suck) and the whole marketing gibberish about mil spec is a bit funny. Army already switching to PSQ-42/ ENVG-B that has thermal + NV fused image and wireless streaming thermal optic capability.

The 42s are straight garbage, rear bracket comes loose on it’s own and the nods are done after that. The mounting system breaks easier than a cartoon of eggs in a car accident.

@@moto_madslims_joel It's almost like that's how expedited adoption works. L3 built prototypes that has flaws and issue those on limited scale to figure out the features that need to be improved. My unit already received the "ruggedized" BII and it seems to be holding up so far.

Most of these "modern" features are gimmicks. Solar and shake awake? Solar can't provide enough energy to run a holo sight and shake awake optics just turn on without any movement, too sensitive.

Eotech quality has gone downhill. I'm a big fan of the xps Holographic optics but they fell way short on the eflx. Definitely WOULD NOT buy nvgs from them. Small companies that build them let you look online at the individual lenses and have spec sheets for every individual optic they sell. Except for gooningear they'll take your money first then they'll have you choose between 2 offerings based on what they have. There's no knowing what they have only their word but I can't argue they don't offer their best

They're basically the F5032 (AN/PVS-31D) from Elbit and have some very quality tubes. They're very nice, but maybe not worth the price tag when there's so many other offerings with similar tubes out there. I will say that the housing has a lot of features that work well for how I use them. The pair I own has Elbit thin filmed Pinnacle Elite 2376 WP tubes and they're pretty decent. They included the Elbit spec sheet too.

You ever try filming through tubes? Not that easy, cameras don't like the dark, it looks MUCH better to the human eye.

@@eotechinc you oughtn't promote white phosphor. It produces fewer photons per electron because shorter wavelengths are more energetic, while being less efficient to the eye, and having poorer resolution because there are almost no S cones in the center of vision. It also introduces chromatic aberration with most eyepieces, reducing resolution. There are many reasons to use P43 green.
