Made from carbon fibre, the RØDE Boompole Pro weighs only 535gm (18oz) and, from a compact 810mm (2‘ 8”), extends to a full 3m (10’). Designed for use with professional shotgun microphones such as the RØDE NTG3 as well as the Blimp windshield system, the Boompole Pro joins RØDE’s popular boom pole range which now consists of five models ranging in size, weight, and construction material. Each of the five pole sections is comprised completely from carbon fibre making it incredible lightweight while maintaining high levels of strength. The sections are easily extendable with one hand thanks to an intuitive twist-lock mechanic. RØDE offers boom pole cable clips as an optional accessory, however the company’s new RØDELink wireless XLR adaptor allows users to record audio from a shotgun microphone on the end of the Boompole Pro without the hassle and possible handling noise of cables.

Ryan is great at knowing what you want to know about all the Røde products. Wasn't sure if you could run your XLR cable inside the Boom Pole Pro, but Ryan just told me you can! thanks again Ryan!

@@DiegottlosenCharmeure You can run the cable through and connect a connector once it's through

Your design engineers leave an inlet port at the threaded end but do a horrible job at the tail end but cap. You should offer a coiled cable kit for this for those that want to route cabling inside the pole!

run the cable through.... i bought it now, and i doubt that even a mini xlr connector will go through. i have to solder the connector myself after i run the cable through, what a joke i should have buyed the aluminum version.

How do you run the xlr cable through the pole? The xlr doesn't fit inside the hole.

@Khaotic Studio Production except you can certainly put something like Sennheiser EW 500 BOOM G4 inside the blimp with the shotgun mic.

Could anyone tell me what is the max weight this pole can load? I want to use with a softbox and flash (1.0kg) and let my assistant to manage light in wedding photos.

Hey there- these poles are made for use for boom microphones, so there isn't a max weight spec per se. Your 1kg setup could work but it's not an endorsed use case of this product.
