As a portrait photographer who also wants to get into video would anyone with experience recommend me get all these 3 prime lenses for photo and video? I’m definitely getting the new RF 70-200 f2.8 Zoom lens as my very first zoom lens which means I’ll be set for now. But I definitely want to shoot with primes for video so My Combo would be 24/35/50 1.4 primes + 70-200 F2.8 zoom lens. Any feedback would really help. By the way I only own a 50 f1.8 and an R5 body.

If you can afford them they're the best lenses for the RF system. The STM lenses are cheaper but will have issues like noisier focus, and focus breathing which are less ideal for video.

Only two lens I’m waiting on is the 85 1.4 and unicorn 70-135 (or longer) F/2. Please make this lens happen! Also, really hope they can achieve a smaller 28-70 F/2 or even a 24-70 F/2 at the current size of the 28-70.

These lenses are $300-$400 too pricey. That said, I’ll probably replace my RF50mm 1.8 with the 1.4 version. I’m really holding out for the 85mm 1.4.

Both are overpriced. Canon could focus on RF-S lenses as well. RF-S need an overall zoom with image stabilization (Like 17-55mm F2.8) and an RF-S super telephoto.

VCM is not the problem but it might become the synonym for this type of lenses. Hybrid is the problem.
