What is intellectual about believing fairytales?

Try reading one of the works and see contradictions get dissolved by apologetics.

The fact that "Catholic theology" (which you call "fairytales") has been around for almost 2000 years and hasn't died out yet (despite being attacked for centuries by skeptics like you) means that it is fulfilling a useful function. Why don't you find out what that function is and give a satisfactory substitute because, the "new atheism" movement wasn't able to do it? To put it bluntly, the Catholic church has survived child sexual abuse scandals (despite the fact that the Catholic clergy aren't any more likely to abuse children as anyone in the general population) and other scandals for 2000 years. The "new atheism" movement didn't even last 10 years and couldn't even handle a guy saying something uncomfortable to a woman on an elevator. Also, you guys are so good to women compared to the Catholic church right? Which totally explains why women to go Catholic churches but are afraid to go to atheist conferences.
