Great to see! Just building a similar setup older pearl set, same triggers, heads, dtx 502, zildjan gen, cymbals. Waiting on a couple triggers but I can tell it's going to be fun to play👍

Better audio would have been useful. Whatever was used to record the audio does not have the dynamic range necessary to capture the audio 'well'.

It would be nice if they made an 8" db one head. A lot of drummers have the 8", 10", 12", 14", 16", combination.

Two questions: first, how do they feel compared to standard acoustic mylar heads? And second, could you put a standard DB One Tom head on the snare, and use the actual snares. Instead of using their snare head?

They Feel Good, definitely a mesh head but not as mushy as usual. Real Heads Feel Like Real Heads... haha.. I imagine you could use the regular head on the snare. Try it and let us know what you think.. Cheers!

How does it feel to acoustic?

Would these work on a set of ROTO toms?

Tough call. Without a resonant head the sound might be very minimal if you hear anything at all... Granted, I'm just guessing. I have something similar (RTOM pads) and bought one for my timbale hoping I could get a quiet timbale, but the sound didn't translate at all, I think because a timbale doesn't have a resonant head.

The tom heads definetely need the resonant heads, those provide the tone. The snare head doesn't, because all the buzz is crested by the second layer with the cutouts. So rototoms for toms won't work unfortunately.

Good Question... I haven't owned Roto Toms in 25 years... Has anyone tired it... does it work??

Are they louder than mesh heads?

They are. The person in the room next to you will probably hear it (although I don’t think it’ll disturb them unless they have a migraine or it’s 2 in the morning), but for your next door neighbor, it’s comparable to sprinklers going off.
