After installing should there be any movement by the tuner post on the front of the headstock? I have a slight amount of play when I wiggle them?

It is possible that the side rails are bent out slightly on your UMP. It shouldn't effect performance. Once the tuning machine is under tension, it will pull in one direction and the wiggling will go away. If you are worried about it, you can bend the rails in so they clasp the tuning machine bodies more snugly. If the tuners are vintage style (8.5mm hole) you would use the vintage upgrade kit for inline. If they're modern style tuning machines, you would use the 10mm kit

Yeah, locking the strings down instead of wrapping them around the string posts saves time on string changes.
