the best video and perfect break down of the functions and features. very informative! i am gonna buy x2800h for 5.1 setup and for gaming on ps5

The x3800h is so good and feature packed that it really makes the 4800h hard to justify. I am surprised they added auro3d and 4 subs. . I feel the 4800h needed 2 extra channels processing and maybe 11 internal amps to justify the price difference

Really interesting new features for me with bass transducers and 360 reality audio. Can you use the headphones with transducers? I’d love to upgrade my sr6012 but I got that for £649 new and the new price points are more than double

I have a new Denon AVC-X3800H, and I am very happy with that. Now I have 5.1.2 set up + zone2. I know 3800H has 9 channel amp and 11 channel processing power, so I would like to have 5.1.4 + zone 2 setup. Physically I can connect those wires to the AVR, but there is no such option in the Amp assign menu. But there is a possibility to use 7.1.2 + zone2. On the internet, I found some other Denon AVR owners, who have the same problem. And because AVR is capable for 5.1.6 the surround back speaker terminal has to be assignable too. So I ask you please make a firmware update, and allow us, to wire zone2 to the surround back terminal, so we can use 4 heights and zone2. (And of course, I know I can't use all 11 channels together at the same time, same situation as 7.1.2 + zone 2)

Hello, I'm currently using the Denon AVR-X2800H device and was wondering if there will be any further firmware upgrade that will support older TV's? Thankyou.

Excited to see new features, but I’ll be keeping my 8500HA UNLESS… you bring back the Denon Trade-in/upgrade program! I’m sure there are difficult logistics right now, but I’m thinking it’ll be a hit if you do

Only 84dB of SINAD - significantly lower than the previous models, is not good, as per ASR review. It was a bad move to switch from AKM DACs to TI instead of ESS... I hope the X4800H will do much better.

I bought a Denon AVR x2800h about a week ago, even though I made a lot of adjustments and made a sound system, unfortunately I couldn't get the efficiency and sound I wanted. Before this, I had a Sony STR dn 1080 and its sound was great and fascinating, but Denon has a full unpleasant sound tone, I can't get over it, it has software. Is it possible to turn it on or do I have the device in my hand? If this happens, I will use it for a year and then switch to Marant. Why does this device have no bass or a full sound? Unfortunately, despite my adjustment efforts for 5 days, I could not get any results.

I feel the same with my x2800h (one week now), before I had Denon x2200w and it was much better sound especially with bass. I do not know what to do now. Still I can return it. The question is x3800 will be better or similar?

I upgraded from 3700 to the 3800 last weekend. I have used them in preamplifier mode only. In general my user experience with the 3800 has been better. The audio quality in my opinion is also better. Audyssey is still the weak link, just wish they had a better target curve as default. There is NO WAY anyone that runs Audyssey doesn’t immediately start to tweak the results to try and get better sound out of it. You listen to their engineers talk about Audyssey and they say “we set everything to reference.” The next sentence they say “no one listens to reference, that’s crazy loud.” Then WHY build your entire target curve towards a level no one listens to? It should just measure your speakers and the target curve should be the “trend-line” of the individual speaker results to minimize boosts and cuts in their DSP. Can’t be that hard to program. How they haven’t updated the mobile app is also crazy. Just update the app, and increase the price if needed. Or get MultQ X on the Mac store. I had to get a uMik1 and tweaked crossovers and switched to FLAT setting to get better in room response. Once you tweak the Audyssey settings it does sound good. I was also pleasantly surprised how good the Auro3D is as good up mixer. Probably worth the upgrade just for that.

Pretty much all AVRs over $2k are going to sound the same. Features are the only difference. Anyone who says there is a sound difference is making shit up

@@nothingtoseehere93 yeah thats what I was wondering I have an older Marantz sr 6011 and it has a 24 bit DAC in it and I think Denon and Marantz are now a 32 bit DAC So as to the 24bit vs the 32 bit ..who knows some say it does sound better the 32 bit vs the 24 bit and some say no The 32 bit is able to hold more data as to if some people can hear it probably and some people who are older and when we age so does our hearing

@@nothingtoseehere93 I haven’t had a $2K AVR in my room yet, hoping to get an Anthem MRX or AVM next year after I try the 3800 with the Dirac upgrade. Over the last 3 years I had a Yamaha, Sony, and now 2 Denon AVRs all in the $1K to $1.5K price range. Didn’t like the Yamaha, Sony was okay but needed more channels. I can definitely tell a difference between all of them. Both the 3700 and 3800 sounded good to me, but the Auro 3D up mixer sounds very good in my room. 2ch is good as well. My room size is a treated 14x21x8.

It should have been mentioned but it wasn't but the European AVC-X4700H, AVC-X6700H, AVC-X8500H(HA) & AVC-A110 all have MPEG-H 3D Audio support & could technically support Sony's 360 Reality Audio if Sound United were to make it possible but obviously it would never happen :(

Hey guys, do you think that if i upgrade from a Denon X2600H to a X3800H will i get a better sound quality and separation of channels? My room is not perfect, its a small apartment room and im not totally satisfied with the 2600 and my 5.1.2 setup, sometimes its hard to hear where sound is coming from, i also needed to up the decibels way higher than my bed layer so that i can hear better those Atmos/DTS X effects. Yeah it would be nice to have the pre out options and the height layout that is capable on the 3800, i seen it can handle 6 channels in an Auro 3D configuration. Also the prices went sky rocket high, i bought the 2600 with 480 euros in 2020, the 3600 was a few hundreds more, not they are double the price, meh.
