All in, counting fuel and fees from 4 AQ races, 3 regionals, and the national, we were probably around the 10k mark to make it to lorettas. We slept in our trailer the whole time so that saved some money, but a big trailer got around 7-10 mpg, we spent around 2500 in fuel. The AQs were expensive with race fees, about 420 a day, but the regionals were cheaper because we only did 1 class, but lorettas is like 600 just for dry camping.

Try 3 kicks super slow and just feel the compression, then hammer it on the 4th kick. Works like a charm

While i understand your point, not a lot of people have 5 grand to spend on a supermini and typically at all these big "National" races there's factory semi's that will fix what you need fixed asap. I was lucky enough to have three 250f when I went to Loretta's in 2012. I had a 2009 ( Practice bike) 2011 ( Local/Practice bike) And than my 2013 race bike which had all the bells and whistles. The clutch went out an hour before my 3rd moto at LL and Kawasaki was able to change it out and have it ready before staging. Local races are a completely different story. But any national race you go to is going to have factory support for the most part. So 9 times out of 10 you wont have to worry about parts breaking and not being able to fix it before your next moto.

You should trade 1 supermini and mason’s 65 towards the 125. Luke can hand down the 85 to Mason and then Luke can ride a supermini for a few years plus Luke is at the size and age where he can move up and grow into the supermini before he gets on big bikes.

Get lil and Luke a 250 2 stroke I say skip 125. They learned how to ride small “underpowered” two strokes already growing up. 250 2 stroke they can combine their learned comfort abs skill on a fast serious bike. Ik the two can do it.
