Yes, please. The communication around what these products are is poor (not saying it's rag company's fault; optimum has minimal info either). They're so much more expensive than the non-opticoat line, and all I've heard is they "work better with coatings". What does this even mean? People have been using the non-opticoat products on their coatings just fine for years. I can understand the wash products might have some sio2 in it, but what about everything else? What is a coating-ready powerclean, mdr, or ferrex? These all work fine on gloss coat etc.

​@@ryeguy01 honestly not much difference. I know Ferrex has no difference. ONR vs OptiCoat ONR; yellow smells delicious (mangos), performance couldn't tell. Hyperseal is slightly better. Most of it on paper is better (except ferrex) but how that translates to real life, is minimal

@Danny_opti love the videos. I would love a video going over all your products. There is some confusion about ultra seal and hyper seal and how carwax fits into this. A lot of us are also confused on this line vs the normal line. Like is it just fancier packaging?

@@dolphin4788 opti-Coat line is designed for coated and non coated. The products are made with ceramic infused into them where are some of the opt line does not.

Hyper Seal can absolutely be used as a standalone! Hydrophobics are Similar to Opti-Seal in our opinion.

It's a great product. More of a sheeting type product. Dr. G doesn't care much about beading for what it's worth lol.

I used the hyper seal new formula and 2 weeks ago and has already lost hydrophobics after 1 wash using m wash..does M wash remove hyperseal?

Has anybody had any experience using MDR for the water spots on top of coating? I saw during the TRCMA the rep from OPT said MDR was safe to leave on overnight... is this true even for ceramic coated paint/diamontech coatings? I'm not having much luck with MDR on waterspots that are most definitely only a week old at the max. Any help from @TheRagCompany or other OPT experts would be very appreciated!

If I've coated with Gtechniq CSL+EXOV4 would you recommend the Opti-Coat Hyper Seal over C2 Liquid Crystal (C2v3)? I'm definitely due for a maintenance coat.

Opticoat hyperseal is a lite version of Glosscoat it would work very well with any coated or non coated surface

Hopefully this isn't a dumb question, but should there be any special care taken when cleaning the towels I use with Hyper Seal, or any other product similar? Will it bond with the towels causing them to become less absorbent over time? Or do I just toss them in the washer with the rest of my microfiber towels?

Yes. Hyper seal is a baby version of a well known coating named Glosscoat. So with this it complements and works very well with coated and non coated

Opti Coat Power Clean vs Optimum Power Clean? Because Optimum is hands down my favorite APC/“OPC” safe and absolutely effective on everything.

Opticoat power clean is designed to work with a coated surface. Plus for exterior usage it is ready to use

Dr. G explained that this formula was designed for coated surfaces. Normal OPC still works great, but this formula may be safer right out of the bottle.

You might, but the average customer who wants to care for their ceramic coated vehicle, and who isn't necessarily a detailer is who this was designed for. The shop where I work part time did something similar.

@@om3973 - That's the point though. The average customer isn't going to want to deal with diluting their products. That's why Chemical Guys products are so popular, well, aside from marketing and flashy labels. MDR specifically, I'm not sure it is "watered down". It might be, but other than Power Clean I don't know that the rest are diluted.

@@om3973 - Oh man, I'm right there with you. This line isn't for guys like us. The only product I use from it is the Hyper Seal. I might stock some for the clients who get Gloss Coat though. I'll figure the cost into the price of the job if I go that route. Right now I just get them an 8oz bottle of ONR.

Tried Them all. The tireshine smells like bubblegum. Love it! The products are just TOO expensive contra How much you get. There is for sure better alternatives.

Will need to try out their new line bc If I’m going to be honest besides ferrex and power clean I though all the products were pretty bad compared to the competition. I’m most interested in hyper seal and I though opti seal was one of the worst products I’ve ever used.

If you're one of those that bases quality on water behavior, you won't like Hyper Seal. Probably better off with NV Jet or Lustre.

I’ve watched some videos of the Hyper Seal & it doesn’t seem to have good durability which is disappointing being I truly wanted to buy the product. But for $55 with no longevity, that’s a no go. Hopefully the videos I seen are a fluke.

Tough to see its purpose. Super expensive VS normal optimum line. Like it's just not financially viable. You can already take care of your coating using the normal optimum products almost.

You absolutely can use the original line up. This line was developed for people who had Opti Coat installed on their vehicles. That is why it was only available from installers and the website initially.

Whoa....back it up a bit Hyperseal is the GOAT of spray on sealants ?? Lasts 9-12 months ?? Really ?? I know there was a lot of buzz about it when it first came on, but then ....hardly anything. Seemed like it had fallen to the wayside once the more mainstream companies came out with their spray products

Hyperseal is a dumpster fire. I get better protection with dollar store wax. Terrible beading/sheeting and it’s gone after a single wash.
