My dream bass, but OLD SHAPE!!! Sent messagge to Sandberg if they can make old shape for me same as Gregor’s bass from 2011. but they told me NO.😔 I gave up from this bass, new shape is not for me, but it is definitely amazing bass…..

Once I had the priviledge of directly comparing a Sandberg California P+H to a limited Rickenbacker 4003. Sandberg demolished the Rick in every single aspect while being cheaper. Crazy!

Hey Gregor ! Can you tell me if Sandberg wears down / relic finishes the block inlays if you get a worn look ? Thinking about a heavy relic Sandberg with the same inlays but not sure if a normal block with a worn neck would look good . Hopefully it gets scuffed up too

Yes they age the whole thing. But there are levels to this. Masterpiece like the tobacco burst one here in this video is the most damaged 😉

Question: is the bridge pickup in the Fender 60s position or 70s position? These bases sound treat.

It’s a 60s pickup spacing but both are moved 1cm towards the bridge. I was hesitant first (15 years ago) but these positions turn out to sound excellent

@@basstheworldofficial thank you! It sounds amazing. It reminds me of my Fender American Vintage '75 Reissue J bass, but not exactly. It seems to have the sharpness of the 70s bridge pickup location, but with more focus and balance. The idea of moving both pickups 1 cm toward the bridge but keeping the 60s spacing is pretty intriguing!

loving your work ... so much so that i invite you to influence me further ... woo hoo !!!! you have made a thing !!! you are not too old to learn how to use a soldering iron or a router...or indeed a 3D CNC printer ... you could print in wood mixed with resin EG ... the sky is no longer the limit let me ask you something ... what is holding you back creatively from realising your dream bass .. and dont give me that "talent" wtf self deprecating nonsense you have reviewed many more instruments than most of us could dream of getting our filthy sticky hands on ... make it count expand your input are those tone pots powerful enough? ... i like mine strong enough that i dont need a wah pedal ...sometimes ... sometimes i like them norms there is NO reason you cant have both circuits on A/B/mix with a toggle switch ...go nuts put in an extra pot again ... love your work ... make it so we can all have fedoras at £500 ... if you made it this far into the rant then you really do deserve all the praise the internet has to bestow ... and mine thank you edit ... when i had the money to buy my dream bass ... i did ... then a year later i need another ...24 frets is better than any lower number
