Yes, finally no analog sticks in the way of the buttons. Only complaint is why only Bluetooth, might present some lag.

The problem with the G8 is lacking an app for controller adjustments. I feel that it has a weird deadzone setting where it doesn't detect small analog inputs. And since it spoofs a dualsense, it is awkward in some games where it asks me to access a map by tapping the touch button. Something the G8 doesn't have.

What the response of the controller compared to a ps5 controller

Please make a version that relies on a direct Connection (usb-C) rather than Bluetooth. The latency is noticeably better via a wired connection with a backbone vs my Xbox controller, and this product finally looked to combat the backbone, which my biggest issue is the lacklustre joysticks and lack of paddles, both problems this controller seems to solve. Thats my biggest disappointment with the Nomad, and will probably keep me away from buying.

Apple just announced game mode in iOS 18. With the purpose of addressing controller and airpods latency, game performance and other improvements.

@@jinjasplay but I still won’t be able to charge my phone via a wired connection and play at the same time, and gaming/streaming is still a battery drain. Plus this device also runs on battery, whereas a direct connection will rely on phone power. It’s not only about the latency.

@@TheLazyGamers I agree that this is the big disadvantage, specially considering how much battery these triple A games drain. But it doesn't mean you can't play with it while charging. You could still play with the phone “undocked” from the controller. Like in a magsafe stand, for example. But it is definitely not as convenient in this case. At the end, it will be a personal choice.

@@jinjasplay yeah, I really like some of the features of the controller, like Hall effect sensors, but as long as the controller runs on batteries & it’s wireless/bluetooth, it won’t be a buy for me. Hopefully they make a wired version of this device

You can’t, it uses a Bluetooth connection to connect to your phone, it’s not wired. The controller itself also runs on batteries for that reason, and requires a charge. Huge oversight IMO, and should have gone with the direct connection route like the backbone, and relied on phone power as well as have no latency since there’s no Bluetooth involved.

@@EscobarInternational Look at Razer Kishis controller (not that you should consider Razer in other areas, but mobile controllers they make well)... It's so you can assign controller support for games that doesn't have it, so you virtually put the input on touch inputs and it will work with the controller as normal. really a must have feature for any mobile controller.

iOS is vastly preferred for mobile development as there are fewer hardware configurations to develop for, making development easier. Compare that to the hundreds of different Android hardware configurations, and it becomes evident as to why iOS is what developers choose to develop for.
