Could u mow a 45 degree or 35 degree slop and how fast can u mow like roughly how fast you could mow and can u get a grapple for the front of it and and can u get a power rake too?

Yes you 30-35 degree is the max according to the op manual. Something is always breaking daily on this machine and they used cheap and weak China bolts. I do not recommend this machine for commercial landscaping work. It’s always breaking down in the feild.

Yep, both machines originated with the Steiner brothers of Orvil, OH. Smart, industrious entrepreneurs that have since sold both brands. Both great machines from the same designs.

This machine fucking sucks. I've been running it for the past week so I can go on about how shit it is but the absolute worst part is how unsafe it is. That seat belt is a goddamn joke. Very slow gradual pulling allows it to stretch, such as a slight sliding forward when you go down a slope. Pair that with no type of foot rest to brace yourself and now you are hugging the steering wheel while trying to work FOOT PEDALS. Which are a damn hazard too. The center shield is too far down and too damn close to the pedals. You make a sharp turn to the right and can wedge your foot under the fucking thing. WHILE YOUR FOOT IS ON THE FORWARD PEDAL. So you have to quick struggle free before you drive into something. It's a blatant knock off of Ventrac's 4500 but worse.

It is hard to take an individual seriously when they think by using foul language, they sound smart or knowledgeable. The opposite is true.

It’s a piece of junk and always breaking down in the feild and It’s a money after the warranty is expired. Not a commerial built machine trust me. Beard charges $800.00 to fix just the High and low shift linkage. I have 4 of them in the company for slope commercial DOT landscaping work it Junk ! Damn engineers did a terrible job on this machine. Good Luck !

so did you get 2 years of beating on it commercially before it broke ? 4 of them, thats 100 grand. you buy all at once or repeat ? im confused, Ventrac is the new version of Steiner but they work together a lot. The original inventors sold off the Steiner brand. Then their sons started Ventrac after the non compete but they are on good terms. Now Bobcat purchased and is redeveloping.

@@Me-iq9dz - We bought the first Steiner about 3 years ago the 2 the year after and 1 last year. We have 4 of them bastards. 2 of them are now at John Deere for warranty repairs and been there for about 2 months. Just finished tapping out the front tranaxle for the Hydro - motor because the 2 - - 3/8-16x1 bolts stripped out and messed up the threads on the tranaxle were it bolts up. tapped the hole to 7/16-2.0. Putting in in the field. I have another one that keeps dieing out on the slope with poor 4x4 low power. Its just a never ending battle with these steiners. We had the engineers here to observer the machine while in operation and they said they have issues with these machines.... what they come up with we'll never know. But yeah these not commerial as they advertise. As a mech/tech .... I hate these Steiners ! We went from Ventracs to Steiners and I'd rather have the Ventracs.

@Mako-sz4qr Thanks. I literally just got a quote for a 2023 leftover at a dealer. Id need just for my 5 acres of hilly areas that i mow. I did get the dual wheels and hand control in my quote plus the new style deck. All in its 27 grand including tax. Ventracs are so more expensive is my issue. Id prob put 1200 hours on these in 10 yrars. I do appreciate your honesty Thanks dude and good luck.

@@Me-iq9dz - For what your using for and most important is that it's your so you'll operate that thing properly. We ... they put guys on these machine that are not the best operators and it's not their machine they didnt pay for it they just use it. You'll be fine with your Steiner and 10 acres. We have the 72' rough decks on ours the decks are pretty solid. Just take your Steiner home and go over all the Hydro fitting to make sure they are tighten up and definitely read the owner/operator manual. Good Luck you'll be fine with the Steiner if you treat it good it'll treat you good.

Also invest in a hard to reach wrench set from Harbour Freight for the Hydro fittings, they are short and thin and the set goes from 3/4" to 1 5/8' its a must because the fitting are in very tight spaces.
