Its 2022 and i just found my tamagochi friends. I always knew that old toys were better than the recent ones. It still works and i can quite understand how to play with it. I think my tamagochi is gonna die out of depression

I've got two at the moment (my partner is busy studying for his exams), it's fun, but it's sad that you can't send them to school or work... The last classic Tamagotchi that I had was the V4, and that was pretty fun. The PC site was more adventurous since you didn't have to do missions like they have now in Dream Town. I'm surprised that the store they were purchsed from only recently stocked (or restocked) them. They died out so long ago... I think V5 was the last of the original version that I saw people still buying. I do feel like buying myself a V4 or V5 though ._. But I think the Japanese are lucky to have the models that are backlit and in colour, these are really hard to see, even with the lowest contrast :/

You can pause the tamagotchi. The battery will still run but the tamagotchi is kind of like stuck in time. To do this press the a and c button at the same time.

I think the Tamagotchi Friends is enjoyable if you haven't played that much with other tamagotchis (many of the others are really good). And I think anyone can play with tamagotchis. It's up to you, really. And I think the pink tama with hearts is adorable. Been thinking about getting that one as well :)

The " plastic strip" isn't for turning it off.Its on every tamagotchi when you first get it.Its just to activate the tamagotchi.There no such thing as turning off the tamagotchi.The closest you'll get to "turning it off" is takeing out the batteries,or pausing it.

AtlanticRaven yes i have tha tamagotchi id lovely melody version in pink (the one with melodytchi as a raisable character) i got it in may/2013 and i actually got it for a good deal i beileve it was in the $30-$40 range considering i have seen them on ebay for $100 and up. Not only that the tamagotchi station can connect to id l so i will be able to use it with my 2 normal id l, my 15th anniversary and princess spacey version can't wait so excited

Hi Raven you know how the hearts - bump hearts are supposed to come back after a day well mine haven't I used them all in one day and I thought they would just come back the next day - 5 times bump a day? I honestly haven't run my TF since I got it so I don't know why your hearts aren't back. That does sound really weird. And yeah - it should be 5 bumps a day. You could maybe check out www.tama-zone.com and see if there's anyone there that has the same problem as you.

I've just bought the exact same one and I've watched your review which was brilliant then I watched areview and the person absolutely slated it. Didn't like the shell, the design, the screen...nothing. So now, I'm wondering if I made the right decision. The last Tamagotchi I had was ten year ago so this is gonna be totally different obviously so it's gonna be better but I am a bit upset since watching the other review. Awh thanks Sarah, and thank you for watching my video on the Tamagotchi Friends :) Well, there are a lot of people that dislike the TF and I can see it's mainly those who have played with/collected tamagotchis for some time. I haven't really decided yet on whether I like it or not (I'm currently running mine). But I wouldn't say it's a complete waste of money, and especially if you haven't played with tamagotchis for a long time. There's been such a development since the vintage ones, and I think that you'll enjoy running yours. I remember how excited I was about my first tamagotchi (the Music Star) and it was a version that many didn't like either, but I came to love it just because it was the first one I ran since I was a kid in the 90's :) And I can definitely recommend the Tamagotchi P's...and it will be fun for you to go from a grey scale screen to a colored one :) So all in all I wouldn't worry too much about it :)

Hi Makeiri! Oooh, you're going to Harajuko?? You're sooo lucky! I want to go there too if I ever get to visit Tokyo :) I hope you found yourself a tamagotchi that you like. Ooh, and that's a hard question to answer, mainly because I don't own all the tamagotchis and don't know how they all are. But if I had to chose one out of my own collection then I think it would be the Tamagotchi P's because it is so jam packed with so many features plus the deco pierces would keep it interesting for a long time :)

I REALLY want this new one, but I have Tama-Go and it's SO annoying that it is so dark and you can only play in an appropriate light cause you can't see details very well, that's why I wanted a coloured one, also because of the light, so you can play at night. What do you think about these differences? Are the coloured ones so much different in content then b&w ones?
