I’m so thrilled to be sharing with you the return of the Walther PP and the introduction of the Walther PPK/S and PPK SD pistols! Incredible pieces that will be the cornerstone of any Bond collection!

Been waiting for this for a while. Waited and checked the forum for the new ppk (when Walther brought it back home from Smith). Now I’m definitely picking up a 32 SD and PP in 32.

I just got one of the new black Walther PPks in .32. It has got to be the most accurate and easy-to-shoot pistol I own. Bond usually doesn't have a supressor on his ppk, so I don't feel that bad about getting the non threaded one first. Maybe I will save up for the threaded version sometime to have both.

I'd recommend checking out the JK Armament 105ccx suppressor. In its smallest configuration, it's as small as a Bowers Bitty, while utilizing a conventional baffle system. Very Hollywood-esque. It's also capable of running 9x19, not just mouse calibers.

They are so cool! My only complaint is: 1. Made from aluminum 2. Need to run wet for best dB reduction. More of a fancy comp than a supressor?? IMO.

Not completely mythological--the PPK/s in .22 LR comes suppressor-ready from the factory. I really dislike the way external thread protectors look, so I'll be sticking with the black PPK .32 ACP that's been on order since May.

The second I saw they announced these I searched around and managed to find one of the Black PPK SD's already in stock so I went for it. I've always wanted to suppress my 1966 PPK, but I didn't really want to mess with it so I'm very glad Walther is finally making these PPK SD's. Still trying to decide on what would be the best suppressor for it since there are some smaller dedicated .32 cans out there that might be better suited to the PPK's smaller form factor like the one from ECCO machine.

Brilliant job! I’ve seen the smaller ones but honestly was super impressed with the Spectre 9, and it to me had the bonus of running on most of my pistols without complaint.

The CGS Mod 9SK is a good option. Its rated for 9mm but very short and light. Although probably wider than the ECCO.

Very cool that they brought back the PP! It makes sense, since they were already making the PP frame for the PPK/S, all they needed to do was machine the longer slide and barrel. The thing I would absolutely LOVE to see is them making the PPK with an actual polished blue finish again, not that dull (in my opinion ugly) black they currently offer. Also, pair that with the brown grips..... Mmmm, simply sublime!

Very happy to see these new guns. I was kinda surprised to find out that, apparently, Bond never used a Stainless PPK in any film. For some reason in my head I was sure he did.

I wonder how you can tell that Connery's Walther PP in Dr. No was indeed chambered in .380 ACP. If you are referring to the PP model S/N 19174A in .380 ACP that fetched top dollar at auction four years ago, I have some rather disturbing news. The PP in question was manufactured in 1964 and has a corresponding proof mark, which can be seen in the high-resolution photos of the auction. It can be ruled out for sure that this gun was featured in Dr. No (1962).

Well met! That was an origin for much of my research, though it was also referenced as such in other books like "007 the Armoury" - definitely disappointing and yet another example of how many times a gun has been sold under false pretenses.

Did you repurpose an older set of Bakelite grips for the gun in this video, or are they bringing back the mottled brown/black plastic?

As noted in the video, my pistol is a 1967 PPK with a threaded barrel that I did as a custom job. Still awaiting my new production PPK SD! Will certainly do a full review and deep dive video when it lands.

Do the threads permanently protrude or is it an adapter like on the 22lr version?

If it is anything like mine, there will be a barrel that protrudes that the thread adapter then goes on to get it up to the 1/2 x 28 pitch.

Actually a very easy gun to naturally point and accurately shoot suppressed without them. I found it very easy with the Spectre 9.
