Thanks for the information very interesting . I found it especially helpful when you said about the dogs not eating . I have a 9 month old French mastiff at 56kg who has stopped eating in the morning so he is only having 1 meal a day . You have put my mind at rest that it probably is just the hot weather we are having here . Thank you 👍

Always introduce your dogs off leash for the best experience of the new person meeting your dog! Absolutely best advice ever...🙈

For reals, I know these guys are super trained and socialized but it’s not something you want to do with every dog. People, DO NOT DO THIS!!! Unless your dog is super friendly

What if my dog has a bad habit of jumping on people?
@Kathleen-Wellner2 жыл бұрын
Ummm just let them jump without a leash 🙈 Actually i put my dog on a leash with a medium chain collar and tell them off as I say the word I pull up on the leash and give the other command sit. But if your dog has no basic obedience you will need to start from scratch.

So, for a person with a stranger hesitant cane corso, if my dog feels cornered or trapped he’s going to be more reactive (a leash would do that) not being on a leash would allow him to back up or walk away further if he felt he needed space which he does on his own if he thinks he needs it. If you’re so uncertain about your dog biting someone, they shouldn’t even be introduced WITH a leash on if there is no muzzle. My dog is introduced with no leash but he’s got a gated area between him and others, or he comes inside after people come In so it’s not so much they’re coming in to his house, they’re already there.

100% agree with off leash introductions. In my own experience with my corso if I attempt to leash while introducing, it makes her go into high alert and unrelaxed about the whole situation, I’m thinking that this must be the case for most guardian breeds, my cane corso girl meets any new person coming into our home for the first time in exactly the same way ( outside of the home first ) tbh it has to be done this way otherwise she wouldn’t let them through the front door 😂

My husband and I recently, on March 9, got a 14 month old female who for the last 6 months has been crated probably 90% of the time. She is very sweet and loving with us but very reactive to people and other dogs when we take her out. What is the best way to start training her. It's been a little over a week and she is doing better but ......

There is a difference between asking for money vs putting in work to educate, creating educational products and merch for people to enjoy. Why you so mad Kathleen? Sounds like you're having a bad day. Keep your head up you can turn your life around and get yourself in a much better place despite what could beaking you unhappy.

I’ve definitely seen him come off kinda rude and snippy a small few times like in the video where they bathe justice for the first time but we are all human and nobody is perfect and from what I have seen from other videos they seem to be happy and healthy for the most part but again nobody is perfect everyone is going to get snippy from time to time plus they are dealing with dogs that could cause serious injury if not carful so I understand to an extent but I would recommend correcting her a little different I’m sure that was a little embarrassing for her in front of friends. But like I said I see it from both points of view he just wants to keep everyone safe.
