I used to work as a home care worker for the last fifteen years. Before that I was a hairdresser for 25 years. And now, I am retired and I spent my time doing volunteer one day a week in a very big hospital. And I am travelling. Next week I'll go to Vietnam and Cambodge for 20 days.

Thanks a lot, Teacher, for this new, excellent and helpful for majority of Your students video! Vocabulary and expressions related to its topic are very important and basic for all of us, therefore this lesson is very useful for all Your students working professionally. I had been retired for over 10 years, so I could only answer for Your today's questions in the past tense. I had been working for 10 years as a research worker and an academic teacher at my Polytechnic in Wrocław. Then I was working at Polytechnic's Computer Centre of Scientific and Technical Information finding out information for the scientists from all over my country, in cooperation with British Council. Since the beginning of the 1990s I had been working for a chemical company in Wrocław as a manager of the company education and information centre. After a stock exchange takeover of my company by the American concern 3M I was working as the information and organisation specialist and company journalist, at the Management Office, untill retirement. During the last years before retirement I had been working also as a teacher of chemical technology at a high school in Wrocław. After retirements I was a juror in a Labor Court for 8 years.

I run a small shop where I offer the right products according to the needs of my local area. My customers are of all ages. I'm always kind and nice to them. I try my best to keep my customers happy and coming back to my shop. 😊😊 As you can see, I'm self-employed and I'm always busy working. 😆 However, I love my job because I'm my own boss and can do the things I like in my free time, or when I don't have customers to attend to. 😊😊 Chompi and Pinky are my helpers. 🙃❤

Excellent writing, Evelyn! My only comment is that "self-employed" is an adjective, so without a noun after it, you should not have "a." It should just be, "I'm self employed."
