Heres some tips that helped me. (I learned these by heart within a day) 1. Write these down. English phrase---> Japanese phrase. 2. Repeat them to yourself and quiz yourself 3. Tell them to a parent or friend, and have a SMALL conversation like have your mom or whatever say "how do you do" in japanese and reply with "goodnight" in Japanese. It's funny, and seems stupid but it genuinely helped me a lot. Hope this helps! Let me know if it did!

Diosep I’m here kinda cuz of anime, (but I’ve done this with another show that wasn’t in English, but it was Portuguese and idk it didn’t end up as interesting to me) but I was bored and on Duolingo and the letter system and stuff and the language actually interested me and I like being able to read a bunch of symbols that I used to have no idea what the heck they meant lol. Duolingo isn’t great for listening and I probably bad at speaking literally anything cuz I only whisper pronounce then forget lol

I’m here because I want to learn the language. I have family members that only speak Japanese, and it’s a bit annoying. Especially since my mom can speak it, but I can’t. Currently I’m looking into taking lessons. Originally I was actually going to move to Japan, but now I just think it’s best if i stay in the United States. do u have any tips on learning 😀
@Tome13Eclipse4 жыл бұрын
@@werewolfcrush2131 I had writen a 4 paragraphs comment It all disapeared imma kms :|||||||||||| So First of, you might start by learning some words as we're doing here. Once you start to get some vocabulary, you can start to use it to describe what you are doing at the moment (i.e you're learning French and making bread, you'd say to yourself 'Je fais du pain'). You can, and should, also say it to people : It might sound cringe and they might not be able to correct you on your mistakes, but it's very important to learn pronounciation both for the accent and for memorising the vocabulary. At the end of the day, when you go to sleep, you should also tell yourself what you did during the day and a bit of what you'd like to do the next day, as it's good to learn past and futur stances. Once you get a good base, i'd say that you can start to change the language of your devices. Then you can go for medias such as movies, videos, books, etc I'd like to mark a "line" here with Comedians, Vlogs etc as you'll need a better understanding of the language to get the jokes, the idioms, etc. Finally, if it's not already the case, find someone that nativly speaks the desired language and discuss with them Even better if you ask them to kind of ignore you if you're not speaking said language as you learn much faster under some sort of "obligation". That'd be for me the fastest way to learn for me
